The Bachelor of Commerce program develops students’ financial literacy, business analytic and decision-making skills, leadership, and management skills through experiential learning and authentic assessment tasks relevant to the choice of major. This degree equips students to think creatively and critically, problem-solve, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in an ever-changing and increasingly complex global business environment. In the Bachelor of Commerce, students complete a major which specifically prepares them for a professional career in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance fields. By undertaking a specified set of subjects according to their chosen discipline, Bachelor of Commerce students graduating with an Accounting, Actuarial Science or Finance major are eligible to pursue professional qualifications offered by their field’s governing bodies. Students are also encouraged to complete a minor to diversify their skills and enhance their employability.

The Bachelor of Property provides a foundation for careers in the property development and management industry and the opportunity to specialise in Property Valuation.  The degree provides a comprehensive range of subjects including construction practices, feasibility studies, finance, investment and valuation, property markets, corporate real estate, land economy, sustainable development and urban development.

The Master of Valuation and Property Development (Professional) provides a wide range of skills that can be applied to global property markets. This program is designed to equip graduates with strong knowledge and advanced technical skills applicable to a variety of career paths such as property valuation and investment, finance, asset management and research. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including finance and taxation, corporate portfolio management, risk identification and management, feasibility analysis, law, property valuation and market analysis. This degree provides the opportunity to specialise in Property Valuation. Professional Portfolio is a 20 week, 45 credit point subject available to Masters of Valuation and Property Development (Professional) students in the Faculty of Society & Design. This subject is strongly experientially oriented and encourages students to develop their professional skills in a real world environment. The subject will ensure that students combine self-analysis and reflective learning skills with professional methodologies, so as to expand analytic and strategic thinking capabilities. It will provide practical experience for students to develop their skills in a profession relevant to their Master’s specialisation. All students will complete a 2,000-word scoping document, and either undertake a work placement in Australia for 210 hours (which includes an employer’s report) and reflective journal (up to 5,000 words) OR complete a collaborative research project totalling up to 15,000 words. All students will submit a final professional portfolio collection of documents, highlighting their practical and theoretical expertise in their profession of choice.

The Master Finance (Professional) is a quantitatively rigorous program that integrates innovative subjects that highlight Bond’s excellence in experiential and case-based teaching. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Finance program with an additional 20-week Professional component. The classes combine theoretical knowledge in Finance with practical insights delivered through case studies and guest lectures. Team building is encouraged through group projects and communication skills are enhanced through class presentations. The Master of Finance (Professional) program’s small class sizes allow for personalized attention and unparalleled access to Bloomberg terminals and our two trading rooms. The program equips students to think critically, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in a global business context characterized by change and uncertainty.

The combined Masters degree in International Relations and Project Management enables students interested in a career in diplomacy, international trade, government and business to acquire expertise in the planning, implementation and management of projects and programs. The addition of project and program management skills enables you to access more strategic positions in your organisation and to be responsible for overseeing new initiatives involving the management of scope, time, cost and risk. You will graduate with a Master of International Relations and a Master of Project Management upon completion. The combined program is internationally recognised by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The Bond University Bachelor of Biomedical Science/Bachelor of Laws program will equip you with foundational skills in the highly respected areas of science and law. The Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Pre-Health Professional Major) provides you with the ideal undergraduate foundation for a career in the health sciences. The Master of Actuarial Science (Professional) is an innovative and immersive program with an additional 20-week Professional component that combines elements of economics, finance, statistics, data analytics and advanced mathematics to develop techniques for the management of risk and business decision making.  The Master of Actuarial Science (Professional) will be taught via smaller classes for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bond University's Bond Fin Tech Hub and Bloomberg data-sourcing terminals. The program will develop skills in the challenge of handling 'big data’ to create practical solutions for real-world problems. Employment opportunities include working as an investment analyst, portfolio manager, actuarial consultant, insurance actuary, superannuation actuary, risk analyst, big data analyst, liability manager and high-level manager. The successful completion of the program at an appropriate level of performance will lead to Part I qualification with the Actuaries Institute.

The Bachelor of Film and Television is a heavily hands-on and project-based degree that allows you to balance practical filmmaking production experience with creative practice theory, enabling you to explore and develop your individual creativity and artistic voice. This comprehensive filmmaking program is focused on visual storytelling through the key creative areas of producing, screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, production design, and television broadcasting. You will be taught by staff with long professional careers in the film, television and screen-based industries, aquiring craft skills in modern production techniques using professional filmmaking equipment and technologies. The program provides you with a solid grounding in contemporary, theoretical, and cultural issues and, through an enhanced understanding of regional and global politics, development, strategic decision making, sociology, and economy, you will be able to further your career in diplomacy, international trade, government, and business. At the end of the program, you will undertake a professional portfolio involving your research and practical expertise in your chosen vocational area.  Eligibility criteria apply to the professional placement option.  The program duration is 4 semesters and 20 weeks (92 weeks).

The Bond MBA is a generalist management program of 12 subjects. Designed to blend industry-relevant research with practical applications and challenges, the intended learning outcomes are centred on the three pillars of leadership, global business and entrepreneurship, developing graduates who can think critically and strategically in this context. The program is designed to provide graduates with the core underlying technical skills that inform effective decision making, framed around the development of the interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills that are required to lead in the implementation of these decisions.
