The unique and comprehensive Bachelor of Environmental Science/Bachelor of Environment and Society combines science and social science knowledge, designed to give you all the competencies required to succeed in environmental governance positions, or to become a sustainability leader, and help protect our natural environment.

Through the combination of work in the classroom, the laboratory and the field, you will build an understanding of both scientific and social theory. Through several real-life projects, you will learn to reconsider and apply theoretical concepts to practical problems. You’ll build further skills through industry engagements and work placements.

This double degree has been designed to provide you the opportunity to explore many different career paths through your academic study and experiential learning. Upon graduation, you will be well-equipped to make a positive difference in a wide range of potential careers that will strive to protect precious ecosystems, and help to shape the future of humanity.

In the Master of Artificial Intelligence, you’ll learn to design and implement systems and applications in high-tech facilities, such as our newly developed Artificial Intelligence Lab.

The Master of Artificial Intelligence offers two stream options. In the project stream, you complete an AI postgraduate project and choose two electives from both AI and IT. In the research stream, you complete a research methods module, write a minor thesis, and select two electives.

We have been rated above world standard for our research in the field of AI and Image Processing. This course is among the most specialised in the country, with few other degrees focused on AI theory and applications in today’s climate. The Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) looks at animation in all its forms, from the animated character to motion graphics across linear and interactive environments. Presented in a creative environment, this degree focuses on intellectual investigation and conceptual development.

Upon graduating, you will demonstrate aesthetic and intellectual maturity, as well as strong technical abilities within design, media and art disciplines.

Get ready for a fulfilling career in chemical engineering and pharmaceutical sciences.

As the pharmaceutical industry expands in Australia and world-wide, your understanding of the engineering process and other scientific fields involved in drug development and production, will ensure you’re well equipped to work across a range of roles.

You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the principles of chemical engineering and pharmaceutical sciences, allowing you to apply your knowledge to large scale production in the pharmaceutical industry.

You’ll have the opportunity to design creative solutions through inspiring and sustainable design-and-build projects, as well as taking part in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge — a humanitarian-focused course offered in all RMIT engineering degrees.

RMIT's Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) focuses on the operational, managerial and planning aspects of airlines, airports, and associated industries.

You will gain a comprehensive appreciation of the aviation operating environment, and develop leadership, business, analytical and problem solving skills, enabling you to solve real problems in the aviation workplace.

This degree will provide you with the foundation research skills that will support your future career as a scientist or researcher.
