The GMAT exam , conducted by GMAC, is a prerequisite for admission into MBA programs at business schools worldwide. To register for the GMAT exam, candidates must visit the official GMAT website and schedule their exam date. GMAT exam dates are available throughout the year, with the option to take the GMAT Online test from home every week. How to book a GMAT Exam Date?

To schedule a GMAT exam date, candidates must first check the application deadlines for their desired business schools. This will allow them to plan their exam six months in advance, as recommended by most MBA programs. Once they have a general timeframe in mind, they can follow these steps to select an appropriate GMAT exam date:

• Visit the official GMAT website and click on the "Find Test Dates" link.
• On the redirected page, enter the required code and click "Submit."
• Select the preferred country from the dropdown menu. A list of test centers in that country will be displayed.
• Choose up to three GMAT test centers that are convenient for you.
• Once you have selected your preferred test centers, a calendar will appear on the screen. This calendar will show all available test dates within your chosen timeframe.
• Review the available test dates and select the one that best suits your schedule and preparation timeline.
   

Remember to register for your chosen GMAT exam date at least two to three months in advance to secure your spot and avoid any scheduling conflicts.

GMAT Cancellation Fees

If you decide to cancel your GMAT exam, you will be charged a cancellation fee. The amount of the fee depends on how far in advance you cancel. Be aware that you cannot make any changes to your exam appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled test time.

Rescheduling GMAT Exam Dates

If you anticipate being unable to attend your scheduled GMAT exam, yet desire to take the test; rescheduling is an option. To change your examination date and time follow these steps: 

1.  Sign into the official mba.com account with valid username and password.

2. Click to "My Account" and choose the "Exam" section. Look for the GMAT test you wish to modify, then choose it. Two options will appear: Select the the reschedule option. 

3. Choose a new test date and time. Click the "change test centers" button on the bottom left to change your test center. 

4. Check the updated GMAT test date and time. To save the updated schedule, click the "complete reschedule" button.

5. Double-check your personal information before clicking 'next' after rescheduling your GMAT.

6. Before proceeding, Make sure to carefully read GMAC's GMAT reschedule policy and agree to the terms and conditions.

7. Paying the GMAT reschedule fees is the final step in the process of rescheduling the exam. Your registered email address will get a confirmation once you have paid the GMAT rescheduling fee. 

However, there accompanies a fee for rescheduling the GMAT exam and the amount depends on how far in advance you make the change.

GMAT Reschedule Fee

If you are planning to take the GMAT test and need to reschedule the exam date, there are certain criteria that determine the reschedule fee. Remember that registering for the GMAT exam with enough time to properly prepare for the exam can help reduce the total cost. Therefore, it is better to plan ahead and make any necessary preparations accordingly.

Retake for GMAT Exam

If you're not satisfied with your GMAT score or your business school requires you to retake the exam, you can do so up to five times a year and a maximum of eight times in your lifetime. However, you'll need to pay a fee to reschedule or cancel your exam.

There's a mandatory 16-day waiting period between GMAT attempts. So, if you're ready to retake the exam on the 17th day after your last attempt, you can proceed.
