The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is an internationally-recognized, computer-based assessment managed by Educational Testing Service (ETS). It is intended to measure the verbal, mathematical, analytical writing, and critical thinking capabilities of prospective postgraduate students, particularly those seeking an MBA, who need to submit GRE exam results to gain entry to their course.
The importance of GRE scores in a student's successful admission to graduate school can vary significantly from one school or department to another. This exam features three sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Analytical Writing, and Verbal Reasoning, and is scored on a 130–170-point scale for the quantitative and verbal sections, and 0-6 points for the writing portion, with half-point increments.
People who take the GRE exam can access their scores from their ETS accounts. Once their scores are ready, ETS will email them. Additionally, they will receive an official 'Institution Score Report' from ETS.
After a student's examination, the GRE scores can be seen in the student's ETS account after a period of 10-15 days. The official score report is only visible in their ETS account and is not meant for any other purpose.
It contains
Every student who takes the GRE will be given a score on their report for three specific categories: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Analytical Writing (which includes the essay portion).
