SAT Exam Registration 2024: Check Application Process, Registration Options, Fee

Students who are hoping to gain entry into a university in the US or Canada should be aware that the SAT is an essential test. Colleges will take your score into account when they are assessing your application. 

The SAT assesses your abilities in math, reading, and writing over the course of three hours and forty-five minutes. It is important to note that registering for the exam is not complicated. The exam is intended to evaluate mathematical, written, and verbal capabilities.

SAT Exam Registration

To figure out how to secure an SAT exam, you need to be aware of how to register for it in India on the web. To complete the registration, you have to pursue the following steps:

• Head to the College Board's official website, http://www.collegeboard.org, and then create an account.
• When you have made the account productively, give your personal details.
• Construct your student profile after that. Provide details about your secondary school, scholastic data, and data about extracurricular activities.
• Include college-level information, like the kind of college, majors, size of the college, and so forth.
• Opt for the test date and the center for the test.
• Subsequently, upload an image.
• Pay for the test fee with PayPal or a credit card.

Mail Registration

In addition to registering for the SAT exam online, you can also sign up for the test by mail. To do so, you will need to get the Student Registration Guide, which can be obtained from several places. 

This guide will supply you with an envelope and a registration form, which should be filled out and then sent with a demand draft. All mailed forms should be sent to the regional office of USIEF (United States-India Educational Foundation), which is the SAT's local representative in India.

SAT Score Registration Deadlines

The SAT assessments typically take place on seven Saturdays annually, and the enrollment period for the exam closes four weeks before the examination date. The College Board has also made public the expected SAT exam dates for the 2024 which are as follows:

• February 23, 2024
• April 19, 2024
• May 16, 2024

 

SAT Registration Options

Registering with Accommodations : Students with disabilities or medical conditions that may affect their test taking ability for the SAT can register for the exam through the Accommodations option. Prior to registering, a College Board approval must be obtained in order to receive the necessary testing accommodations.

Sunday Testing: Sunday testing is not available in India or Pakistan.

Registration of students under 13:  In order to register those under the age of 13, a parent or legal guardian must fill out and submit the Account Creation Consent form.

SAT Fee and Fee Waivers

In order to register for the SAT, the cost is $55 for the base fee, with an additional regional fee of $49 for students residing in India. However, those who are in Class XI or XII and have a family income of less than ₹8 lakh annually are able to obtain a voucher that reduces the registration fee by up to 90%. Those with a family income between ₹8 lakh and ₹15 lakh are eligible for a 50% discount.
