Camosun College is a public post-secondary institute, the foundation for which was laid in 1971. It offers bachelor’s degree, certificate, continuing studies, preparatory, upgrading, career and trades training, university transfer and applied degree programs to students from across the world.
Situated in Victoria, British Columbia, the college has two campuses at Lansdowne (main campus) and Interurban. The college has an over 90% graduate employability rate which is achieved through effective teaching practices, professional faculty, relevant curricula, cooperative education programs, accessible services, community-mindedness, personal focus and individual support to students.
Services and Facilities
Camosun provides its student labs for ideation and innovation, houses a technology access centre and co-op and career services. Students have access to workout sessions and the recreation centre which holds fitness classes and provides training. The college’s library offers both in-person and remote services and comes with many articles and databases, books, media and workshops and events.
Accommodation
Students can find rooms on rent and homestays as accommodations to live close to the campus.
Rooms on lease can be opted for as long as the student wants and may be done based on an agreement. While living in a homestay may still come under a contract, it is semi-formal with different kinds of people as hosts.
Scholarships
College offers a range of scholarships to international students, the Camosun International Academic Advancement Scholarship is one among them.
