Edith Cowan University South West Campus (Bunbury)

Edith Cowan is the only university in Australia named after a woman, the first woman elected to an Australian parliament. The Claremont Teachers College was founded in 1902, making it the current descendant of the earliest academic institution in Western Australia. It was formed from the merger of several tertiary colleges in 1991 and was given university status.
Three campuses make up ECU, including two in Western Australia's South West region in Bunbury and Mount Lawley, both in major cities. In all of Western Australia, regional centres also provide programmes.
The ECU South West (Bunbury Campus) is located 5 kilometres from the Bunbury CBD, along Robertson Drive. The campus is part of a larger educational complex that also includes the Bunbury Health Campus, home to South West Area Health Services and St. John of God Hospital, and the South West Regional College of TAFE.
There are three campuses in Western Australia and one that will shortly open in Sri Lanka, all of which provide a contemporary, energetic setting for learning.

• Childcare: Both the Mount Lawley and Joondalup campuses have excellent childcare facilities.
• Wireless internet access and computer labs: Students can access on-campus computing resources around-the-clock.
• Psychological services: You can address any academic or personal concerns with the help of this service. For all students, it is free.
• Health care: Medical centres with GP (General Physician) and nurse services are available on the Mount Lawley and Joondalup campuses.
• Library: College libraries offer extensive collections of books and journals, electronic resources, and spaces for study and research.

• Campus Living Villages, a provider of student housing, runs student villages at the campuses in Joondalup, Mount Lawley, and South West. 
• The village offers a contemporary, welcoming setting and comprises single and multi-room units with shared self-catering facilities.
• Many different apartment designs, including recently built apartments, accommodate different budgets.
• All new developments include housing certified by the National Rental Affordability Scheme and offer residents rent at a discount from market rates.
• The town is inside the university grounds, near all the amenities. Local stores and facilities for sports and recreation can be reached on foot or easily using public transportation.

You can apply for a scholarship during the 'open for application' time. There are specified opening and closing dates for each scholarship.

In Semester 2, 2023, Soldier On again provided transitioning and separated veterans the opportunity to study.

• ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child (ECU node) Ph.D. Scholarships:

The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child is the first research facility in the world with a research focus on kids that are committed to fostering positive digital childhood for all Australian kids.

• 2023 and 2024 International Undergraduate Scholarship:

International applicants from a few specific nations who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree at ECU are eligible for the International Undergraduate Scholarship. The scholarship reduces the cost of tuition by 20%.

• 2023 and 2024 International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship:

International undergrads from particular nations who have excelled academically in previous studies are eligible for the International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship.
