The Southern Cross Model

Southern Cross University's Melbourne branch campus is located in the heart of the city's thriving Central Business District. In collaboration with EduCo, our currently deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business, administration, accounting and information technology to international students.

Melbourne is the capital of the state of Victoria and is home to around five million people. The city is internationally known as a centre for sport, the arts, education, tourism, culture and lifestyle. Victoria welcomes more than 200,000 international students every year.

At Southern Cross University’s Melbourne campus, you'll be taught and supported by highly qualified lecturers with a work-integrated learning focus.

Our friendly student welfare support team is available for confidential advice and counselling for those students who may be struggling with the transition to a new learning and living environment.

The University's experienced academic skills adviser also provides regular academic skills workshops on topics including Australian methods of learning, enhancing critical thinking skills and answering assignment criteria using the appropriate academic language.

An active Student Representative Council (SRC) is on hand to provide students with representation in advocating positive changes within the campus.

Amenities such as the shared student lounge conveniently located next to a cosmopolitan food court, a comfortable student hub adjacent to the student services area, and a computer lab, ensure our students have ample space to relax between classes.

The facilities offered at the campus create a modern learning environment with well-equipped spaces. All students get electronic access to the university library and reciprocal borrowing rights with universities across Melbourne. Students also get access to the university’s personalized web portal for learning resources, learning management system, library databases, administrative services, timetables, lectures, exams, latest university news and events.

Melbourne Campus does not offer on-campus accommodation choices but provides assistance services for students to find the housing facility they need. Melbourne has varied types of options for students to stay while they pursue their program at the university – rented houses, university-managed accommodations and homestays.

Bachelor of Business and Enterprise in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Bachelor of Business and Enterprise has a focus on developing innovation and impact in a complex and changing business world with inspired and multidisciplinary learning experiences. You’ll become equipped with the practical skills, tools and knowledge that are vital for the sustainability of society, business and industry.

Build a portfolio of professional experiences through a range of real world interactions with employers, industry and the community.

You can undertake the course with a professionally accredited specialisation in accounting or financial services. Alternatively, you can choose a major in either business and data analytics, entrepreneurship and innovation, tourism management or aviation management, combining this with an industry project or an internship or a shared major from disciplines across the University.

Diploma in Business

Looking for a pathway to a Bachelor degree in business, information technology or tourism?

The one-year Diploma of Business gives you the opportunity to develop academic and business skills in areas that could include business, finance, management, economics, marketing, tourism and information technology. In addition to core units, you may choose a specialisation in either business and enterprise, information technology, tourism or business.

Successful completion of the Diploma will guarantee you entry and up to eight units of credit towards a Southern Cross University Bachelor degree in business and enterprise or information technology.

The Diploma of Business award is offered through SCU College, where we understand that learners have diverse experiences and ways of learning. The College connects you to your peers and supports your study success through additional workshops to assist you develop academic and study skills.

EduCo Southern Cross University Melbourne Campus Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the Southern Cross University

International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Financial support statement (original bank statement and sponsor letter).
Passport identification page with machine-readable code visible
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
