About Griffith University Nathan Campus

Since 1975, our teaching and research have been focused on addressing the most important social and environmental issues of our time. Today, that mission is as relevant as ever.

Nathan Campus
Originally opened in 1975 with a cohort of 451 students, Nathan is Griffith’s most historic learning ground. Almost 50 years later, the campus now hosts more than 13,000 students enrolled in degrees in business and government, engineering and information technology, environment, humanities and languages, law, and science and aviation.

Nathan campus is our home of world-class teaching and research on the environment, corporate sustainability, Asian studies and the emerging biosciences. Here, you’ll find the six-star, green-rated Sir Samuel Griffith Centre—Australia’s first teaching and research building driven by solar power and hydrogen energy—and our recently completed, state-of-the-art Engineering, Technology and Aviation building.

More than 13,000 students are currently enrolled on the campus, they are pursuing degrees in business and government, engineering and information technology, the environment, humanities and languages, law, science, and aviation. This is almost 50 years after the school first opened
On the Nathan campus, Campus Life supports many clubs including the long-running GRUBS (Griffith University Bushwalking Club), the Karate and Kickboxing Club and the Griffith University Aikido Club
Integrated networks of walking trails connect the groups of structures, sports venues, bushland reserves, and recreational places. The Dunn Memorial is located on the campus' northern boundary.
The campus has two residential colleges for students and a range of sporting facilities

Griffith University Nathan Campus Accomodation

Choose between off-campus housing with one of its off-campus partners or living on campus at Nathan or Gold Coast.
A homestay is another fantastic choice for those from other nations to live with a local family while they are studying.
There are several scholarships available that assist with accommodation, such as the George Alexander Foundation Scholarship and Chancellor's Accommodation Scholarship.

Bachelor of Arts

Bachelor of Aviation

The Bachelor of Aviation is a two-year, accelerated degree allowing students to progress more quickly into a flying career.

You will be introduced to the sciences underpinning the theory and practice of aviation. You will also study courses in areas such as navigation, safety management systems and the human factors in aviation. Through the Bachelor of Aviation, you will develop the skills needed for lifelong learning in the evolving aviation environment.

The Bachelor of Aviation together with self-funded flight training will allow graduates to be ready to work in the aviation industry as a commercial pilot.

Bachelor of Aviation Management

This degree will help you advance your career in aviation management and thrive in the constantly changing aviation environment.

You will study courses that directly relate to job functions in the aviation industry. In your final year, you will have the opportunity to undertake a short research project, which allows you to make a valuable contribution to an area in the aviation industry that interests you and can be sponsored by an organisation or individual within the aviation industry.

Griffith University has Australia's most highly recognised aviation teaching program. Our aviation staff have strong industry ties and are world leaders in air travel safety research and focus on the human elements in flight operations to help improve safety. Natural Sciences & Mathematics

Bachelor of Biomedical Science

Biomedical science helps society through applying new scientific knowledge to medicine and healthcare. In this degree, you will gain an understanding of health and the methods for diagnosing and treating disease.

You will develop knowledge and skills in the biological sciences and clinical sciences and understand how they can be applied to medicine, biomedical research and healthcare services.

In your first year, you will be introduced to the basic sciences underpinning biomedical science. In your second and third years, you will explore more advanced aspects of the biomedical and clinical sciences, including genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, immunology, microbiology, infectious disease, pharmacology and neuroscience. You will learn through hands-on, laboratory-based training in the biomedical sciences.

Griffith University Nathan Campus Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Griffith University

International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Financial support statement (original bank statement and sponsor letter).
Passport identification page with machine-readable code visible
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
