The campus is equipped with modern and futuristic equipment and facilities to create an engaging learning environment for students. The university has six colleges and research divisions.
The Cairns Campus, known as Nguma-bada Campus houses teaching and research facilities.
Cafes, bars, fitness, sporting facilities, and a range of student clubs and societies are offered at the Cairns Campus of JCU for creating an atmosphere conducive for personal and intellectual growth and development.
The campus houses a gymnasium, basketball courts, sporting fields, a mountain biking track, and numerous sporting clubs
JCU also provides hands-on internship/ project opportunities as well as placements post-graduation.
John Grey Hall of Residence is a purpose-built housing facility at JCU Cairns, Smithfield offering accommodation options for student’s on-campus.
An extensive range of scholarships are offered at JCU for international students in the form of excellence scholarships, merit stipends, international student scholarships, research scholarships, Australia Awards Scholarships. The university also accepts awards and scholarships offered by external organizations.
