Assiniboine Community College Adult Collegiate

When Assiniboine Community College first opened its doors in 1961, there was just one certificate program, and that programme has since expanded. More than forty certificates and degrees are currently offered, including those in agricultural science, business administration, health and human services, culinary arts and hospitality, trade and technology, and environmental studies.

The Assiniboine Community has provided outstanding educational opportunities while also developing and redefining the province of Manitoba over the previous fifty years. In addition to theory, cooperative work placement programmes are incorporated into the college curriculum, enabling students to gain the practical skills they will need after they graduate and begin working. Because of the changing nature of the labour market in which they operate, they expose students to a variety of practicums, internships, conferences, and other activities that prepare them for success in their future careers on a regular basis.

Apprenticeship programmes in a variety of professional fields are also available via the institution, as are English language training, continuing education courses, and post-secondary adult education programmes. With the aim of ensuring that students and teachers work together in harmony, Assiniboine Community College maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio in order to ensure that students feel connected to their professors.

Assiniboine Community College has one of the most attractive settings in the city. From their vantage point atop Brandon's North Hill, students will have a breathtaking view of the city and the Assiniboine River valley. The Adult Collegiate campus, houses a huge library, a campus bookstore, a gymnasium, an early learning centre, a lecture theatre with a television studio, a full-service cafeteria with lounge spaces, and a gaming room, among other amenities. A collegiate radio station, CJ-106 FM, is also based on campus. 

As a consequence of the excellent student services available to the college's students,Adult College has carved out a distinct identity for itself. Assiniboine Community College offers a number of student services to both returning and new students. Here are a few instances of the services provided by the college: Fully equipped libraries and 24*7 Wi-Fi for students, services in the fields of health and dentistry, services in the field of mental health and counseling, sports and recreation facilities are available, orientation programme with an open House and campus tours, and a programme of community service.

Assiniboine Community College does not offer student housing. The college offers off -campus accommodation for students. The college has partnered with Places4Students Inc. to provide students with a list of accessible accommodations that can be used by them to find a suitable housing facility. Homestay is another option that the students can look into as it provides a cozy and apt environment for them to study and be comfortable.

Assiniboine Community College, Adult Collegiate offers a variety of scholarships, some of which are automatically reviewed, while others need an application. Academic programme applications are used to establish if a student is automatically eligible for a scholarship. Academic achievement, school or community activity, and athletics are all kinds of criteria that might be used to award scholarships. Bursaries are awarded on the basis of financial needs.
