About Brighton College Surrey Campus

Brighton College is a vocational training college located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, near Vancouver. Our main campus is conveniently located in central Burnaby. We deliver high-quality education and support in a serious learning environment for students with a variety of backgrounds and abilities in order to improve their lives for a brighter future.

The College is built on the belief that a technical and practical education with hands-on training is a solid foundation to prepare and guide students to enter their desired career path immediately after graduation.

Vocational Training and Career Assistance
Established in 2000, Brighton College has since grown to provide over 30 programs ranging from building and engineering technology to information technology, as well as a full range of business-related courses including Office Assistant, International Trade, Accounting, and Business Management. Many of our programs are developed with accreditations and partnerships from industry-recognized certifications.

Our student services and career development services departments offer academic advisement, academic assistance, and career development to ensure student success and professional development.

Brighton College is a designated institution of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) and has also earned British Columbia Education Quality Assurance (BC EQA) designation, assuring all our programs and instruction meet standards of quality. Practical training that increases knowledge and skills - Learn in a supportive learning environment with modern technology and the most current and relevant programs in classrooms with a low student-to-instructor ratio.

Brighton College Surrey Campus Accomodation

On-campus housing is provided to students based on decisions made by the university administration. Students can choose from a variety of off-campus housing alternatives in the surrounding locations. Studio flats, paid guest facilities, shared housing complexes, and other options are available to students. Homestays are an important part of the student housing system.

Advance Diploma in Business Management - Accounting (Co-op)

The Advance Business Management Diploma in Accounting offers the students comprehensive knowledge and the skills required to work in the diverse field of accounting and finance in today’s dynamic global environment.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program the successful student will be able to:

Diploma in Construction Project Management

The Construction Project Management Diploma program offers the students the skills and the knowledge to work in the construction industry. The courses in the program include project quality control time, technical drawing graphics, analysis of construction costs, building code, construction estimating and aspects of task and time scheduling for developing, monitoring, and controlling construction projects. This program also incorporates many courses based around the principles of the Project Management Institute® (PMI®) and thus offers them with a strong theoretical and practical foundation for professional project management.

On the completion of the course, the students can seek employment in engineering firms, with sub-contractors, governmental agencies and local construction firms or pursue their further studies in building science, engineering, computer-aided design and architecture.

Architecture and Construction

Diploma in Construction Operations and Supervision

The Construction Operations and Supervision Diploma program offers the students the skills and the knowledge to work in the construction industry and advance their careers as estimators, site coordinators and supervisors. The major topics in the course include the construction drawing methods, construction estimating, design concepts of buildings, construction theories, building code and standards, health and safety regulations, basic project management skills, surveying, practical construction knowledge, scheduling techniques and construction estimating.

Brighton College Surrey Campus Admission Requirements

Admission to Brighton College - Surrey is dependent on meeting certain criteria, which vary depending on the program to which a student applies.

Student should be at least 18 years before taking admission
Student should be proficient in English and must have taken IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from all the academic institutions they have attended. If the transcripts are not in English, then students need to submit translated copies of the same along with the originals.
