College de Comptabilite Et De Secretariat Du Quebec (CCSQ) – Sherbrooke

On the boulevard Curé-Poirier Ouest in Longueuil, the South Shore School of Administration and Secretariat, inc. was founded in April 1972. This institution has been around for more than 45 years, and hundreds of students have graduated and successfully entered the job market with their new skills and knowledge. 

The Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Secretarial School opened in Sherbrooke in January 1985 on rue du Parc, which eventually became rue du cégep. Again, this well-known Sherbrooke institution has graduated students in professional training in secretarial, accounting, medical, or legal secretarial services over the previous 30 years.

The South Shore Administrative and Secretarial School Inc. and the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Secretarial School (1985) decided to merge in 2006 to form the Collège de comptabilité et de secrétariat du Québec, Longueuil inc (CCSQ). Students can now study at either the Longueuil or Sherbrooke campuses as a result of the agreement. The CCSQ campus de Sherbrooke inc. relocated to Wellington Street in downtown Sherbrooke in 2012.

Sherbrooke is located in the centre of the Eastern Townships and the Estrie administrative region, near the junction of the Saint-Francois and Magog rivers. CCSQ's campus is in Sherbrooke's downtown area, adjacent to grocery stores, retailers, and restaurants.

The college's infrastructure is world-class. The campus is well-kept, with amenities such as a library and computer labs, and the classrooms are roomy and well-equipped. Furthermore, the sporting facilities, which include gyms and courts, are state-of-the-art. The infrastructure at the college is world-class.

Near Sherbrooke, there are over 30 fishing pools. In season, pick raspberries and strawberries. Several festivals, concerts, and events are held in the city during the summer months. Sherbrooke holds the Carnaval de Sherbrooke in the winter.

Sherbrooke features a variety of parks and green spaces where students can participate in a variety of recreational activities. The CCSQ campus is around a kilometre away from Jacques-Cartier Park. It has soccer fields and tennis courts, among other sporting amenities. The Fête du Lac des Nations, the Carnaval de Sherbrooke, the celebrations for the Fête Nationale, and Canada Day are just a few of the festivals that take place here.

Students have a variety of possibilities for off-campus housing in the surrounding areas. Studio flats, paid guest facilities, shared housing complexes, and other options are available to students.

Students can apply for a variety of bursaries and scholarships to support them financially throughout their time at CCSQ.
