Offering more than 60 programs in their three schools- School of Business, hospitality and Trades; School of Aviation, Engineering Technology and Trades and School of Health and Community Services, Confederation College has had a record of giving all its national and international students an exceptional education and training ever since it was established in the year 1967 in Thunder Bay.
The small size of classes with a low student-faculty ratio, world-class equipment in their laboratories and classrooms, state of the art facilities for its 7000+ students, which also comprises of international students from over 30 countries, in-class learning modules and practical work placements in different industries gives all its graduates a fantastic and highly rewarding experience of learning clubbed with on the job experience employers look for, making them thoroughly ready for the extensive job market.
The college is one of the twenty-four publicly funded colleges in Ontario and has over ninety per cent of its graduates gaining employment within six months of their graduation. The staff continually strives to make a student’s stay and experience at Confederation College highly satisfying and rewarding, working hard to give him the best cultural, social and academic experiences.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens, a river, and a network of walking pathways, the main campus of Confederation College is built on 130 acres of park-like terrain in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The college is credited with being the first educational institution in Ontario to have a comprehensive student mental health and well-being strategy. It houses the college's School of Aviation as well as the offices of the Student Union. In addition, Dryden, Marathon, Sioux Lookout, Fort Frances, Kenora, Red Lake, Geraldton, and Wawa all have Confederation College of Canada regional campuses.
International students can take advantage of both on-campus and off-campus resources at Confederation College.
The Thunder Bay campus is solely responsible for students who choose to live on campus and provides a variety of housing options with varied amenities. The housing charges include a furnished suite, internet access, common area lounges, and an outdoor barbeque area.
International students have access to a number of off-campus housing alternatives in Canada as well. Students can choose from options like Studio flats, paid guest facilities, and shared housing complexes.
Confederation College has a strong alumni network, which contributes to the college's growing popularity. Glenn Schiller (host of TSN's That's Hockey 2Nite), Trent Opaloch (director of photography, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, District 9) and Georjann Morriseau are among the well-known personalities (former chief, Fort William First Nation).

Confederation College’s Business Administration – Human Resources three-year diploma program continues where the two-year Business – Human Resources program leaves off.
