Fisheries and Marine Institute is home to a large flume tank for conducting tests on newly developed fishing equipment in simulated underwater and new surface conditions. The institute also has the most up-to-date full-mission simulator complex including a motion ship’s bridge simulator system.
The marine institute also houses a food pilot plant to develop new food products and aquaculture facility with salt and fresh water systems and an offshore survival and safety centre with an environmental theatre and a helicopter underwater escape trainer that can efficiently simulate waves, rain and wind.
