This program will provide you a solid grounding in electronics, mechanical technology and workplace safety. Through classroom, simulation and work place training, you'll become an expert at operating, maintaining and repairing ROV systems.

Students completing the four-year Underwater Vehicles program will earn both a Diploma of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology Degree. There is also exit at 2 years with a Technician Diploma in Remotely Operated Vehicles or 3 years with a Diploma of Technology.

In the Bachelor of Maritime Studies (Maritime Management) program, you’ll study the impact of human resources, economics, marketing and quality management on today’s marine industry. This is a unique, professional degree that provides you with an exposure to business, as well as the marine and technology management concepts necessary to ensure your success in it.

In the program, you'll cultivate solid technical skills to collect, manage, analyze and disseminate ocean data.
You'll be trained in marine surveying equipment, optical and acoustic remote sensing technologies, oceanographic instrumentation, and geographic information systems. By the end of the program, you'll have had the opportunity to delve deep into the ocean to examine the ocean using industry-driven acoustic technology and leading-edge software applications.

Program Structure

• This program consists of six in-class semesters, three technical sessions, and a work term. In the fourth year, students continue with Bachelor of Technology courses with an option to exit at 3 years with Diploma of Technology.

In the Bachelor of Maritime Studies (Safety Management) program, you’ll study how to manage maritime health and safety, environment, security, and quality issues within the context of the global maritime industry.

This degree option will prepare you to address increasing concerns in the oceans and hazardous environments-related sectors, including the offshore oil and gas, shipping, maritime security, and fishing industries, on safety and preventative measures.

The Bachelor of Technology, Engineering, and Applied Science Technology program prepares graduates for career advancement in engineering technology and applied science industries. It is designed for students who have graduated from an accredited diploma of technology program in engineering and applied science.

Courses in the program provide the student with an introduction to human resource and business management concepts and the social contexts in which their careers will be based.

After the program is complete, your combined diploma and degree will provide you with strong technical training that meets national accreditation standards. This program is offered online with select courses available on campus and can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis.

Program Structure
This one-year program consists of 39 credit hours with 24 credit hours from required courses and 15 credit hours from elective courses. The program is available on a full or part-time basis, and is available online with select courses on campus. Full-time students can complete the program in one academic year.
