The oldest of the Northern Lights College campuses is the Dawson Creek Campus, which houses the program for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Additionally, Times Higher Education has bestowed a rank of #1208 to this esteemed institution in the same year. The tuition fee for college is CAD $1,707 per semester.
Northern Lights College, founded in 1975, is a post-secondary educational institution in Northern British Columbia. British Columbia Colleges is a set of 11 colleges spread across the province of British Columbia. Northern Lights College is one of them. Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, and Tumbler Ridge all have campuses, with access centres in Atlin, Dease Lake, and Hudson's Hope.
Dawson Creek Campus is home to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program, a trade and apprenticeship program.
The university provides a wide range of approximately 65 different courses, including options such as business management, workforce training, applied business technology, teacher training, aircraft maintenance engineering, academic and university sciences, clean energy technology like wind turbine maintenance, childhood education, and oil and gas training.
Courses in the University Arts and Sciences lead to a University Arts and Sciences Certificate, an Associate of Arts Degree, or additional post-secondary education. Dawson Creek Campus offers Aboriginal Education services, Student Recruitment, on-site student accommodations, a library, gym, childcare facility, bookstore, financial aid, and city transit access. Students can participate in a range of extracurricular activities outside of the classroom, including camping, skiing, cricket, horseback riding, snowshoeing, and more.

A Diploma in Criminology will be awarded to students who complete the equivalent of two years of required first and second-year courses at Northern Lights College. Diploma in Archaeology
The Archaeology Diploma program at Northern Lights College provides academic knowledge and field skills specific to archaeology sampling techniques. The field of archaeology is growing along with the oil and gas industry and other developments that disturb the land. Trained graduates can find employment opportunities with numerous archaeology and environmental consulting firms as well as government agencies.
The diploma program is ideally suited for students interested in entry-level positions that largely involve field work in remote areas under physically demanding conditions. This career can involve survey and excavation, artifact processing and analysis, and report preparation.
By using this Diploma program as a stepping stone to completion of a bachelor's degree, students can obtain employment in upper-level positions. A degree in Anthropology or Archaeology in combination with field experience offers graduates the opportunity to become Field Directors or Senior Archaeologists.

Certificate In Enhanced Carpentry Foundation
The Enhanced Carpentry Foundation Program is a 32-week program during which students earn credit for Carpentry Levels 1 and 2 technical training. Theoretical and practical instruction is provided through a variety of projects including stairs, forms for concrete, framed floors, walls and roofs, finishing work and rigging/hoisting. Students will spend approximately seventy percent of their time in practical skills development building a construction project from start to lock-up stage.
Individuals who complete the Enhanced Carpentry Foundation program will receive Levels 1 and 2 technical training and 450 work-based hours credit towards completion of their Carpentry Apprenticeship.

Certificate in Hairstylist Foundation
Students receive training according to the provincial Apprenticeship curriculum, as established by the Industry Training Authority (ITA) of British Columbia. Students who complete the NLC Foundation program are taught in a salon environment for the majority of their 990 hours and are credited with 300 work-based training hours.
Students are introduced to the basics of haircuts, styles, shampoo and scalp treatments. Students are also trained to chemically treat hair using colour and permanent treatments, and the business and communication skills required in a salon environment.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation program and 1290 further work-based training hours, students may enroll in the Hairstylist Apprenticeship Program.

Associate of Arts Degree in Alaska Highway Consortium on Teacher Education (AHCOTE)
The Associate of Arts Degree – AHCOTE (AAA) is awarded to students who complete two years of planned coursework at Northern Lights College. The AAA prepares students for entry into the Alaska Highway Consortium on Teacher Education (AHCOTE), the teacher-training program offered at NLC. Credits may also be applied toward a degree.
The AAA is offered as part of the University Arts and Sciences program, which provides university-level learning opportunities that reflect the intellectual and creative modes of inquiry practiced in the Arts and Sciences.
