American University in the Emirates, UAE encourages students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that complement their classroom learning and contribute to a fulfilling student life. These activities include student clubs, sports teams, associations, competitions, initiatives, study abroad programs, and annual events. The DSA is responsible for facilitating these opportunities for student engagement.

At AUE, the safety of both students and staff is highly prioritized, and the security personnel work around the clock to monitor and secure the campus, ensuring everyone's safety. Additionally, AUE provides recreational facilities for students to participate in activities like video games and other forms of entertainment.

AUE has its own bookstore, Male and female prayer rooms are available for students. A diverse offering of restaurants and coffee shops along with a mini-market, is located outside the AUE campus.

The American University in the Emirates has recently introduced a range of 700 new en-suite rooms specifically designed to cater to the needs of modern-day students. These rooms provide students with private bathrooms, as well as access to communal lounges on every floor that are equipped with televisions. Additionally, the rooms feature spacious wardrobes, contemporary bathrooms, individual study desks, and comfortable beds. 

The American University in the Emirates, UAE offers fifteen full scholarships to exceptional students who will study in any of the university's six colleges for their undergraduate programs. These scholarships allow fifteen talented students to pursue a complete American bachelor's degree within the UAE. AUE provides students with different types of financial assistance, such as scholarships, grants, and financial aid, depending on their eligibility and availability for each semester. The University provides financial aid in various categories.

• AUE Scholarship: The University offers full scholarships to eligible undergraduate and graduate students.
• AUE Merit Scholarship: Partial scholarships are available for students who have achieved a specific high school average and/or maintain a certain CGPA after completing 45 credit hours.
• Corporate and Government Grants: Various entities in the public and private sectors receive partial grants of different percentages based on signed agreements.

Financial Aid: Partial grants are available to undergraduates needing financial assistance.

In the Academic Year 2006-2007, the American University in the Emirates (AUE) was established as the "American College in the Emirates" (ACE) to provide career-oriented and high-quality academic degree programs to students that prepared them for successful employment and further education. Being a self-funded institution, ACE awarded associate degrees in media, information technology, business, and design. These degrees were recognized by the Dubai and United Arab Emirates governments and businesses as suitable for intermediate and entry-level positions.
