The University has a couple of IT labs that are equipped with the latest technology to ensure that they meet the global standards for instructional lab exercises. The students can engage in recreational activities like playing pool, table tennis, fooz ball, air hockey, and video games in the Recreation Room. The university also boasts of a vast library that provides ample resources for the students. Additionally, the library has a photocopier, a networked printer, scanner, and CD-writer for the convenience of the students.

In 2003, the Emirate of Dubai issued a Ruler's Decree to establish the British University in Dubai (BUiD), the first research-based postgraduate university in the region. BUiD is a non-profit institution that provides high-quality education and research opportunities to promote technological innovation and socio-economic development in the Arab world and beyond. 

The UAE-based BUiD is an innovative establishment that supports and enhances advanced research related to the country's knowledge-based economy and the GCC region's requirements. Many BUiD's scholars showcase their research at international conferences and publish their findings in internationally recognized academic journals.

BUiD has been authorized by the UAE Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs to grant its own degrees, and these qualifications are acknowledged globally by the UK NARIC, the UK's organization responsible for recognizing international skills and qualifications. 

The British University in Dubai (BUiD) provides undergraduate programs in Business, Engineering, and computer science, which include the pioneering BSc in Artificial Intelligence in the UAE.

BUiD offers comprehensive full and part-time research-based Master's and MBA programs, as well as Postgraduate Diplomas, in various disciplines such as education, business, law, engineering, finance, project management, architecture, and computer science.

BUiD also offers extensive full and part-time research-based doctorate, PhD, and DBA programs in education, business, business law, architecture and sustainable built environment, project management, and computer science.

Scholarships for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs are available at the British University in Dubai, and students who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for them through a simple application process.
