The main campus of GMU, situated in Ajman and spanning over 25 acres, has collaborated with Thumbay Hospitals, Clinics, and Pharmacies for its medical internship program. It comprises of various facilities such as the university's main building, laboratories, classrooms, offices, colleges/departments, library, and learning center, along with the Thumbay Diagnostic Center, Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare (CASH), Innovation and Research Center, Coffee Shop, Restaurant, Health Club, Indoor and Outdoor Sports Complexes, Health Communication Department, ATM, Conference rooms, and Resource centers. 

GMU's student accommodation in Ajman is furnished, clean and secure. The hostels are situated in Al Jurf area, which is only a few minutes away from the campus by bus. Both undergraduate and graduate students can stay in these hostels, monitored by a hostel warden. The University provides safe transportation to and from the hostels. The hostels offer various amenities such as centralized air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and water coolers on all floors. The University also provides medical support facilities at Thumbay Hospitals, transportation to and from the University during University hours, and weekend visits to malls in Dubai and Sharjah upon request. Hostel students can also enjoy special packages at Body & Soul Health Club and avail themselves of the mess facility at The Terrace Restaurant. A full-time warden and security are also available.

GMU has many scholarship opportunities for students who demonstrate their worthiness. The university has partnered with the Yemeni Consulate and the Palestine Consulate to offer scholarships to students from Yemen and Palestine, respectively. Additionally, GMU's College of Nursing provides an Academic Excellence Scholarship to exceptional students enrolled in its undergraduate programs. Furthermore, GMU offers various Internship Programs to its applicants in different fields, providing them with a glimpse of the real-world work environment in the medical field. Laboratory Internship Program, Nursing Internship Program, Anesthesia Technology Internship Program, and Dental Internship Program are among the internship programs available to students.

Gulf Medical University introduced a new scholarship under the NAFIS Programme, offering full coverage of college tuition, registration, and other fees for eligible Emirati students starting from September 2023 admissions.

Gulf Medical University scholarships cover full tuition fees for eight medical specializations, including Nursing Sciences, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Anesthesia Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Imaging Sciences, dental assistant program, and pharmacist assistant program.
