Police College, Abu Dhabi

To support the training and education of university graduates, the study curriculum has been developed to become a full academic year. Once passed successfully, the student obtains a police science certificate. The purpose of this system is to provide and rehabilitate university qualifications for holders of specialized officers necessary to work in the police and security forces.

The Police College established has a major role in the process of qualifying new police officers.

In 1985, the Abu Dhabi Police College was founded as a highly regarded institution in the United Arab Emirates. Its main objective is to provide thorough and comprehensive training to produce a highly qualified and skilled group of police officers who can contribute significantly to the country's development and success.

Under Federal Law No. 5 of 1992, the study and training curriculum was developed in the college, which made the study period four years, following a foundational semester to qualify the student from both the physical and psychological sides.

Affiliation with the graduates of the college was the beginning of the academic study for officers who obtained a diploma to demand their graduation and obtain a bachelor's degree in legal and police sciences. This program was completed in June 1997, when nearly 180 officers obtained the required degree. And in September 2001 it turned on the affiliation system again for officers who were unable to complete the requirements for obtaining a bachelor's degree.

Police College, offers financial assistance to its students studying in the United States, enabling them to pursue various undergraduate and graduate programs. Scholarships are offered based on merit.
