The main university building's library has 272 seats available as well as 7 carrels and 7 study cubicles for small-group study and discussions.

One of the best places for students to live while studying in Academic City, where the University of Dubai is located, is the recently built DSOA University Residence. 

The University of Dubai, UAE, does not offer campus accommodation for students but provides suggestions for affordable and conveniently located accommodation options, ranging from $545 to $1100 per person per month.

A partial scholarship is awarded to applicants who finished high school outside of the United Arab Emirates. The University of Dubai provides a scholarship based on merit that covers 50% of the tuition fees for students who have excelled in high school by scoring 90% or above or achieving an equivalent level of achievement. 

Students who need financial assistance or want to minimize their tuition costs can apply for a number of  UAE Universities scholarships and discounts.

 

 

In 1997, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) founded the University of Dubai (UD) with the aim of creating a distinguished academic institution that could provide top-notch educational programs for the development of human capital and offer research and consulting services to businesses in Dubai and the UAE. 

The DCCI wholly owns the University of Dubai, UAE (UD) and has been a consistent supporter of the university's growth and international academic accreditation. In line with the Dubai Vision 2020, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, granted the University of Dubai three million square feet of land in the Academic City to construct a new campus. The DCCI provided 200 million dirhams (equivalent to around US$ 54 million) for the construction of the new campus, which was designed through an international competition. The new campus, located approximately 20 kilometers from the previous location at Maktoum Street, officially started operating in December 2015 after the shift from the old campus.
