The University of York
The University of York was established in 1963 when the University Grants Commission permitted a university in 1960. The university started operating with its first batch of 230 students on Oct. 9, 1963, under the leadership of Lord James as its chancellor. Originally the university only had 28 staff members and six departments; economics, English, education, history, politics, and mathematics. At present, the university includes nine colleges and 30 research centers and academic departments. The university is now accredited by the Privy Council.

In 2015, Kaplan International Pathways announced a new collaboration with the University of York and an on-campus university degree preparation providing International Pathway College was started. Following its launch, the International Pathway College at the University of York welcomed its first batch of students in the year 2016.

The University of York is among the best universities in the UK, and in one of the country’s most historic cities. The University of York campus is surrounded by beautiful environment and students at the International Pathway College get access to all of its modern facilities including a 350-seat auditorium for lectures and events, a learning resource centre, a restaurant and more. The University of York International Pathway College offers foundation certificates in subjects including Business, Social Science, Humanities, Law, Science and more. Enrolled students at the University of York International Pathway College represent 30 nationalities from around the world.
