Keele University

Just one hour from Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool, and 1.5 hours from London, Keele is located in the heart of England on a 600-acre campus that was voted as one of the most beautiful in the UK. Keele was founded in 1949 by the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, and is world-renowned for the breadth of its teaching and research.

Everything is on your doorstep at Keele. Our beautiful 600-acre campus is self-contained with student accommodation, teaching buildings, restaurants and cafés, a sports centre, and medical centre all within easy reach.

We deliver a unique and international learning experience. We teach in small groups, provide one-to-one access to our academics, and value the quality of our teaching as highly as our cutting-edge research.

On-Campus Accommodation
As a campus university, Keele has over 2,800 bedrooms on site, with a range of accommodation available and all within a short walk of the centre of campus. We offer guaranteed accommodation on campus for September entry undergraduate applicants who make Keele their firm choice, and who apply for accommodation by the deadline date.

Halls and facilities
Both single and mixed-sex accommodation is available, and there is the option of en suite or shared bathroom facilities. We offer specially adapted rooms for students with disabilities. All rooms have wireless internet. Facilities vary between halls, but most have their own common rooms and all have a launderette.

        Water Taps
 Accommodation taps are labelled hot and cold. There is no need for water filters since the water is safe to drink.

Safety and support
Student safety is one of our highest priorities and we have a 24-hour security team. Many accommodation buildings have student swipe-card entry systems and each hall of residence has a team of resident assistants on-call during evenings and weekends.

Single-gender
We have single-gender accommodation in our traditional accommodation blocks (rooms with or without a washbasin or shared 4 person flats). All of our premier flats and premier en-suite rooms are mixed gender as these rooms have their own bathrooms - kitchens are shared between male and female students. The students can tick the signle gender option on the accommodation application form.

Off-Campus Accommodation
If you are looking to live off-campus, we have plenty of information to help you with your search. If you’re bringing your family with you, you may need to look in the local area for accommodation as there is limited family housing on campus.

We have our own off-campus accommodation search engine keelestudentpad.co.uk where any landlord or institution advertising with us must have up-to-date certificates for gas, electricity and energy performance, and be accredited with the local council.

Undergraduate Scholarships
Our International Excellence Scholarships of £2,500 per year of study are available to international undergraduate students across a wide range of subject areas (excluding Medicine programs).

Postgraduate Scholarships
For postgraduate study, our International Excellence Scholarships are one-off tuition fee discounts of up to £5,000. They are available to international postgraduate taught students across a wide range of subject areas (excluding Medicine and Physiotherapy programs).
