Upon successfully completing your course at the International Study Centre, you will progress directly to study at the Leeds Beckett University.

Study Group is the first private pathway provider to be accepted on to the Office for Students (OfS) Register of English higher education providers. This means we meet the OfS requirements for course quality, academic standards, student support, student protection. From 1st August 2019, International Study Centre students will be able to access the same range of benefits as students attending other UK public universities.

Our courses
We offer two International Foundation Year subject routes, designed to prepare you to start an undergraduate degree at Leeds Beckett University:

• Business, Law and Social Studies
• Science, Engineering and Computing

The International Study Centre is a safe and supportive place where you can feel at home and make new friends. We have experienced and friendly teachers who you’ll get to know well. They will monitor your progress closely to keep you on track.
You will study in small classes with other students, which means you can get more individual attention from your tutors, and ask plenty of questions.
If you need extra support, your personal tutor will be able to help you with your academic studies, and answer any other questions you may have.

Our location benefits from great transport links, with a regular bus service to and from Leeds city centre, and from Headingley Campus to the Emerald Headingley Stadium during term time.

Leeds Beckett University
Leeds Beckett University (LBU), formerly known as Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) and before that as Leeds Polytechnic, is a public university in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It has campuses in the city centre and Headingley. The university’s origins can be traced to 1824, with the foundation of the Leeds Mechanics Institute. Leeds Polytechnic was formed in 1970 and was part of the Leeds Local Education Authority until it became an independent Higher Education Corporation on 1 April 1989. In 1992, the institution gained university status. The current name was adopted in September 2014.
