Pittsburgh
Duquesne University Located on a park-like 49 acres on a hilltop in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, Duquesne University offers students a well-rounded study experience in the most liveable city on the mainland of the United States as rated by The Economist’s Intelligence Unit.
Ranked #143 among national universities in the United States by U.S. News & World Report 2021, and widely rated as one of the best value schools in the country (U.S. News, Kiplinger, Money Magazine), Duquesne is a liberal arts university with modern facilities offering an exceptional education in business, health sciences, education, music and law.
With just 10,000 students and a 14:1 student-faculty ratio, the University’s faculty has the capacity to get to know its students, and work with them individually towards their study and career goals.
On-Campus Housing
Freshman (first year) and sophomore (second year) students are required to live on campus unless they qualify for a waiver from the Office of Residence Life. Living on campus is an exciting and challenging part of the college experience. At Duquesne, about two-thirds of full-time undergraduate students live on campus in dormitories called Living Learning Centers.
Off-Campus Housing
Many upperclassmen choose to live in one of the Pittsburgh neighborhoods surrounding Duquesne's campus. Students find that living on their own comes with newly found opportunities and responsibilities. We remind students to always be responsible neighbors within their communities and to meet the Expectations of a Duquesne Student.
Duquesne University's Power Center is a multifunctional facility with a spacious ballroom, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and several conference rooms. In addition, it also houses a cafe and a bookstore, making it a hub of activity for students and visitors. With nine schools of study, Duquesne University offers various programs in various fields, catering to undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. The university also provides online programs, ensuring flexibility and convenience for students. Moreover, Duquesne University offers many career opportunities in both academic and non-academic fields, allowing individuals to explore diverse professional paths.
