Like most community colleges, Foothill does not have housing on campus; however, the International Programs Office offers resources and assistance to help you find comfortable housing options.
Homestay Housing
Homestays are a housing option available to international students at Foothill College. If you have never lived abroad or in the United States, or you are under 18 years old, we strongly recommend that you consider living in homestay housing for at least the first 3 months. Homestay can be prearranged before your arrival in the United States.

One of the most popular housing options at Foothill College is local apartments or single-family homes. Many students also choose to live with roommates in apartments or houses to reduce housing costs. Generally, housing costs in the Bay Area are more expensive than other parts of the country but are similar in cost to many large cities in the United States and around the world.

Foothill College's sprawling main campus has a total area of around 122 acres.There are several clubs which are organised by the college students that engage in a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities. The All-Weather Track Appreciation Hall, Campus Center, Computer Centers, Dental Hygiene Clinic, Environmental Horticulture Complex, numerous sports complexes, and healthcare centre are among the on-campus facilities. Apart from these facilities there are also services such as; peer mentorship programs, orientation programs, medical and wellness facilities, disability services, etc.

Associate in Arts - Accounting
Accounting is the language of business. Accountants measure business activities, process that data into reports and communicate the results to decision-makers. The accounting curriculum focuses on preparing students to transfer to four-year institutions, sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and seek employment. Areas of study include accounting for decision making, accounting for internal and external use, financial statement analysis, review of financial accounting standards, payroll and business taxes, individual and advanced taxation, computerized accounting software, auditing and forensic accounting, governmental and not-for-profit accounting and ethics in accounting.

The Anthropology Program educates students to understand and value the cultural and social diversity on a global scale, both past and present. By studying cultural, physical and linguistic anthropology and archaeology, students gain valuable skills and knowledge to prepare them for transferring to a four-year university and for careers and success in the workplace. Through innovative learning experiences, the anthropology program connects students to the community, and heightens their awareness of today's critical human problems. Through these activities the program introduces more educated citizens into our community who seek to solve problems and improve our world.

The Art program offers an Associate in Arts degree and a Certificate of Achievement and provides beginning through intermediate level studio art and art history classes with an emphasis in practical techniques, artistic expression and art theory. This guided program assists students in developing specialized artistic techniques and skills necessary to apply and transfer to art programs at local universities. The program offers a range of ceramics, drawing, painting, color theory, digital arts and art history classes. We offer art classes on weekdays, weeknights, weekends, on-campus, hybrid or online to fit students' needs.

The Art History program offers an Associate in Arts degree and a Certificate of Achievement and provides students with an awareness of art, economic, political, religious and social history. Knowledge of art history engenders a heightened understanding of history, a familiarity with the major issues in human cultural development and the exposure to the artistic expression of varied cultures and civilizations. Associate in Arts - Business Administration
The Business Administration program has a dual mission (transfer and workforce) in providing students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to prepare for transfer to four-year institutions and to pursue a career or to develop their own businesses.
Students are provided the courses necessary to pursue studies in specialized business fields such as accounting, finance, advertising, marketing, management, banking, and business information systems. All students expecting to work in private or profit organizations or government are strongly urged to include business principles and other business specialized courses as electives.
Additionally, the department offers coursework and activities for increased professional proficiency, career changes, or new employment challenges, as well as for small business development. The Business department's small business entrepreneurship program is currently in redesign mode and will be refocused on the development of curriculum, activities, and community partnerships with the objective to address the "skills gap." Our initial emphasis will be on skill areas in leadership, communication, collaboration, project management, and innovation.
