HCC offers more than 200 academic options including the associate in art and associate in science degrees, college credit certificates, postsecondary adult vocational certificates, advanced technical diplomas and certificates, as well as continuing education and lifelong learning courses. The College has an annual budget of over $135 million and employs more than 2,200. Over 84 percent of HCC graduates stay in the local community, and together, HCC and its former students contribute more than $1.3 billion in added income and economic impact to Hillsborough County.
The Hillsborough Community College District includes five campuses, each with a unique identity reflective of the communities it serves, in addition to three academic centers. It is our priority to provide our students with engaging academic and campus life—including a wide array of support services, clubs, activities, service learning, and athletics programs—that helps foster a more well rounded, engaged college experience for our students.
HCC is proud to serve as the primary feeder for recent graduates of the School District of Hillsborough County. Through our associate in arts programs, we are the largest state college feeder to the University of South Florida. HCC also has a longstanding tradition of responsiveness to meeting the needs of business and industry through our workforce degree and certificate programs. Additionally, HCC's Institute for Corporate and Continuing Education provides customized training solutions to help strengthen the competitiveness of the local workforce.
HCC also offers developmental education and English as a Second Language for those not yet prepared for the rigors of college-level work. To complement our academic programming and promote greater student academic success, the College provides a full array of academic support and learning resource services. In addition, HCC provides a well-rounded college experience for our students. We have hundreds of student clubs and activities throughout the year, as well as highly competitive athletic teams. HCC also offers student housing at the Hawks Landing apartment complex and provides childcare on two of our campuses.
