Lewis University

Established in 1932, Lewis University is one of the most sought after universities in the USA. It was founded by the Chicago Archdiocese and Bishop Bernard J. Sheil, as the Holy Name Technical School for boys. Over the years, it has expanded and today, it is recognised as one of the finest comprehensive private Catholic universities in the country. It offers more than eighty undergraduate majors and around twenty-five graduate programs, and multiple certification courses. The main programs include bachelor’s and masters’ degrees in business, computer science, education, data science, health care, aviation, etc. For many consecutive years, this university has been named as one of the best colleges by U.S. News and World Report. In addition to this, it has received recognition from The Princeton Review.

The infrastructure of the university has some striking buildings with tree-lined walkways, artistically designed green avenues, lush lawns, well-equipped gymnasiums, modern hostels and much more. There is a well-equipped gymnasium, a common TV room, and a central badminton court in every hall for recreation.

International students are offered a lot of scholarship options to international students. Around 97% of new students of the university receive financial aid.

J. Furmaniak, a professional MLB baseball player with the Tampa Bay Rays, Paul Stevens (college baseball coach at University of Chicago), among others are some of the most notable alumni of the university.
