MCPHS University, which was founded in 1823 and is a private non-profit, academic institution located in Boston has partnerships all across the globe for providing students with opportunities to participate in clinical and non-clinical experiences. Established as Massachusetts College of Pharmacy by fourteen young pharmacists who wanted to educate future healthcare leaders, MCPHS University is constantly growing and expanding its programs. The University has two campuses, one in Manchester, New Hampshire and one in Worcester, Massachusetts.
MCPHS University's Worcester campus offers multiple programs in nursing, dental hygiene, diagnostic medical sonography, family nurse practitioner, doctor of pharmacy as well as two masters of acupuncture programs, doctor of physical therapy program, the master of physician assistant studies program, and the doctor of optometry program.
MCPHS provides students with an opportunity to make their experience as useful as possible. Students are given all of the materials and resources they need to succeed in any manner possible. The building is equipped with excellent resources available to all students, ranging from a library to various computer labs and research centers that are accessible when needed.
Life at MCPHS is diverse. There are thousands of students, many events, clubs and organizations that help make the MCPHS experience one of a kind. Whether they live on or off-campus, at MCPHS, students can enjoy opportunities to learn more about themselves. No matter what their interests are, chances are there's a club or organization here that give them the opportunity to get involved in something that could change their lives for the better.
The institution provides residence halls to students. Residence halls provide more than just an area to reside. These places provide a home away from home, a community, and a support system for students.
There are a lot of scholarships for students majoring in healthcare who are enrolled in a program at MCPHS. There are academic, athletic, and service scholarships for students based on the type of work that they have done in the past, their academic standing, and the kind of work they are going to be doing.
Catherine Elizabeth Ulbricht (co-founder of the Natural Standard Research Collaboration) and Robert Goforth (American politician) are some notable alumni of the university.
