Living Off-Campus In A Home Or Apartment
Living off campus can provide students with greater independence. While it is certainly possible to live off-campus without a car, if you choose to do so, we recommend you identify a location that is near public transportation.

Please keep in mind this website is designed to help you, but ultimately, you must decide if the landlord and/or home/apartment are right for you. LIU Brooklyn offers a variety of services and facilities for students. The campus is conveniently located near the Barclays Center, BAM, and Fort Greene's restaurants, boutiques, and cafes. Students can use the Pratt Recreation Center, which features a 77,000-square-foot facility with a 3,000-seat gymnasium, an elevated Mondo-X indoor jogging track, an eight-lane swimming pool, a weight room, a fitness room, and a locker room. The campus also has several modern and advanced athletic facilities, including Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium, two Esports Arenas, and the North Shore Equestrian Center, which allows students to practice and compete all year round in different conditions. Other facilities on campus include the Robert Blitz Field, Soccer Park, Softball Complex, and Tennis Center. LIU also has a Counseling Center, Learning Support Center, Medical Services, and Residence Life to support student's academic and personal needs.
