Established in 1882 through a joint partnership between the Churches of God, General Conference and the city of Findlay, the University is known for excellence in its science, health professions, animal science and equestrian studies programs, but also for cultivating the next generation of business leaders, educators and innovative thinkers through a dedication to experiential learning, both in and outside of the classroom. More than 3,800 students, including 1,200 graduate students are enrolled at Findlay. Approximately 1,250 students live on campus in University housing.

You have worked hard in to earn good grades and advance your education. The University of Findlay believes in recognizing that hard work through scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. Findlay's scholarships are based on your cumulative grade point average and graduate students can earn additional scholarships for earning a good score on the GRE or GMAT tests.
And there is not a separate application process to be awarded a scholarship at Findlay. Scholarships are applied automatically as part of the admittance process.

On & Off-Campus Housing
The University of Findlay has an intitutive housing portal that will improve the student experience. Our system, The Housing Director (THD) offers easier access and a mobile-friendly environment. Students will use THD to apply for on-campus housing, to apply to live off-campus and to select or change their meal plans.
Living on-campus is a great way to meet new people and make the most of your time at college.
On-campus, you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with students from across the United States and around the world. You'll have easy access to Shafer Library, the Alumni Memorial Union (AMU), the cardio and recreation centers, and many other campus resources. The hundreds of programs we offer will be available in your own backyard! In your room, you will find access to Findlay's wireless Internet and Philo TV. Philo TV allows students to watch live TV and DVR on any device. You'll also have access to lounges, print stations, game equipment, vending machines, and free laundry facilities.
UF's academic programs include real-world experience, a strong study abroad program, the Centre for Career and Professional Development, and a focus on community service that produces knowledge, confidence, and service-oriented and informed graduates.
The Centre for Career & Professional Development's objective is to actively engage the University of Findlay students and alumni through experiential learning and career-ready skills by leading, educating, and empowering them.
The knowledgeable staff provides a number of services and resources to students and alumni to help them network with professionals, interview for internships, and find part-time or full-time jobs.
The university strives to develop motivated, well-balanced, and successful student-athletes. Throughout the year, the student activities, Commuter Services, and Leadership Development departments offer a variety of programming options for students. Giving them a chance to acquire, gain, or develop their leadership, organization, communication, and networking abilities. With a degree in international studies, you will be prepared to work with diverse populations and pursue careers in a number of areas such as: international business, service organizations based in the U.S., federal service employment, or in non-governmental organizations abroad.

Bachelor of Science in Animal Science - Pre-Veterinary Medicine Option
This option consists of four years at the University of Findlay and is completed with the awarding of a bachelor's degree. It's a program developed in consultation with representatives from veterinary schools who stress the need for both strong academic preparation and practical animal contact for veterinary candidates. Two special seminars provide orientation to the various fields of veterinary medicine and facilitate application to veterinary schools.

Observing at Findlay’s equine hospital (board-certified equine surgeon on staff). The University Equine Veterinary Services, Inc.
