The Master of Architecture (Professional) provides a tailored architectural education in a creative studio-based environment focusing heavily upon design through hands-on and digital making with state-of-the-art tools. Project-based design studios focus upon real-world scenarios with specific attention to urbanism, the future of global cities, and the role of architecture and the architect in addressing urban, environmental, social, and technological change. Graduates will display mastery of architectural design abilities that are creative, critical, analytical, and spatial and based in advanced historical, theoretical, technical and disciplinary knowledge. All graduates will complete a design thesis as the cumulative result of the Masters course that demonstrates independent, self-directed critical thinking and sophisticated design capability. After completing the thesis, this program incorporates a 12-week professional portfolio subject providing students with an opportunity to undertake either an internship (eligibility criteria applies) or professional research project, which results in graduating with highly relevant work-preparation. Through the program offerings at the Abedian School of Architecture, issues of pressing international and national concern form the core content of the studio curriculum. Among the most prominent of these are the challenges posed by our contemporary condition globally, one characterised by rapid urbanisation, environmental change, technological emergence, and increasing socioeconomic inequity. The Master of Architecture (Professional) will prepare students for globally-relevant employment through development of a sophisticated set of disciplinary competencies and acquired knowledge, providing the ability to synthesise diverse information in the resolution of complex creative-design challenges using a globally-applicable skillset that is deployed locally.     Students in the Master of Architecture (Professional) will study for 6 semesters full time. Studies include content from the disciplines of architecture, digital media, construction, city planning, urban design, and university electives. Key highlights of the program include an annual all-school “charrette”, several off-campus study tours (including a paid international studio trip for eligible* students), a monthly international guest-lecture series, study with distinguished guest faculty and Architects-In-Residence, a bi-annual student exhibition and publication, and an internationally and nationally recognized academic staff of scholars and practitioner-teachers.  Students undertake the Master of Architecture (Professional) in a unique setting: the national and international award-winning Abedian School of Architecture. This facility and its associated Fabrication and Robotics Lab are dedicated for student use, creating an environment to support creative activity that is accessible 24/7 throughout the year. The Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management will prepare you for professional and managerial roles in the global tourism and hotel industries. You will develop the knowledge and skills required by managers in modern hospitality and tourism businesses with special emphasis on; hotel, tourism and event operations, sustainable tourism, tourism industry analysis, revenue management, and human resource management. Emphasis is placed on practical and experiential learning through field trips, industry experience, internships, and real-life case studies. The Bachelor of Psychological Science provides students with a scientific understanding of normal psychological processes such as memory, learning, motivation, psychobiology, personality, emotion, developmental psychology, and social relationships, as well as training in abnormal psychology. A basic understanding of these topics is acquired across the two introductory subjects before a greater depth of coverage is undertaken within the advanced second and third-level subjects. Students also participate in laboratory work and are introduced to the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics. The Master of Architecture is the terminal award allowing graduates to gain registration as an Architect in Australia and other jurisdictions that recognise the award. Upon completion and to earn registered status, graduates must complete a period of supervised employment experience (minimum 2 years) and pass a registration exam for recognition in Australia. The Master Degree explores a number of topic areas centered around emerging job descriptions for project managers, drawn from product manager, designer thinker, change agent, Agile coach, business analyst and entrepreneur. The program comprises six core, research methods, research project (double-weighted) and three elective subjects.

The Master of Actuarial Science (Specialisation) is an innovative and immersive program that combines elements of economics, finance, statistics, data analytics and advanced mathematics to develop techniques for the management of risk and business decision making.  The Master of Actuarial Science (Specialisation) will be taught via smaller classes for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bond University's Bond FinTech Hub and Bloomberg data-sourcing terminals. The program will develop skills in the challenge of handling 'big data’ to create practical solutions for real-world problems.  Employment opportunities include working as an investment analyst, portfolio manager, actuarial consultant, insurance actuary, superannuation actuary, risk analyst, big data analyst, liability manager and high-level manager. The successful completion of the program at an appropriate level of performance will lead to Part I qualification with the Actuaries Institute.

The Master of Project Management (Professional) program provides a comprehensive business-ready foundation that will equip students from any background with the knowledge required to develop a career and expertise in project management. The Master of Project Management (Professional) features four distinct study themes including strategy, sustainability, managing complex problems and teams, and virtual teams, and global working. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including conflict resolution, effective integrated planning, management, market performance, portfolio management, public and private sector investment and risk identification. External speakers from leading investment banks, credit agencies, and portfolio fund managers contribute to case studies and workshops.

The Professional Portfolio subject within the program is strongly experientially oriented and encourages students to develop their professional skills in a real-world environment. It provides practical experience for students to develop their skills in a profession relevant to their Master's specialization. All students are required to complete a 2,000-word scoping document, and undertake either a work placement in Australia for 210 hours (which includes an employer's report and a reflective journal) or an alternative on-campus project (PM-BOT) or research-related fieldwork (which includes evidence collection, critical reflection and implications for the industry), plus a final professional portfolio collection of documents highlighting their practical and theoretical experiences in their profession of choice.
