The Bachelor of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying covers a comprehensive range of subjects in the fields of construction management and quantity surveying, focusing on the management and delivery of complex construction projects. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including construction technology, construction techniques, plant and equipment, site management, contract administration, building measurement, planning processes and risks. The program is accredited by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The program also meets the educational requirements of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) for attainment of an Open Builders License.

This cutting edge program has been designed in strong collaboration with industry to assist construction and other built environment professionals to upskill in order to comply with the stringent practice requirements being demanded by government and knowledgeable private sector clients regarding the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Lean Construction Practice (Lean) and Integrated Project delivery (IPD) in optimised construction project delivery.

The Master of Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery program prepares students for advanced involvement as relevant BIM/Lean/IPD Managers in their work environment, for the benefit of projects and their stakeholders.

The program is delivered in intensive mode and has the objective of preparing industry professionals to serve as BIM/Lean/IPD managers. While the course does cover various BIM-related technologies, it does not prepare students to be specialist technicians in the niche areas of the technologies covered by the curriculum. The program includes a capstone subject (40 credit points) in which students work on a realistic BIM/Lean/IPD project that requires application, analysis and synthesis of complex ‘project’ data. Limited placement opportunites may be available based on required performance criteria.

The Bachelor of Psychological Science provides students with a scientific understanding of normal psychological processes such as memory, learning, motivation, psychobiology, personality, emotion, developmental psychology and social relationships, as well as training in abnormal psychology. A basic understanding of these topics is acquired across the two introductory subjects before a greater depth of coverage is undertaken within the advanced second and third level subjects. Students also participate in laboratory work and are introduced to the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics. To underpin the scientific nature of the discipline, students receive training in a range of data analytic techniques and research methods used by psychologists. The program is designed to equip graduates with the basic scientific grounding and theoretical understanding required for advanced level studies. The Bachelor of Laws prepares students for a career as a legal professional, both within Australia and overseas. It provides students with a thorough grounding in essential areas of substantive law and access to a wide choice of law elective subjects, including the option of completing a specialisation. An integrated skills and professionalism program is embedded in the degree and focuses on core legal skills essential to the practice of law. The Master of Criminology (Professional) program provides you with skill development and training as well as scholarly appreciation of crime, justice and forensic issues. The program provides an understanding of a broad range of issues involving criminology theories, contemporary information on crime prevention, the theory and practice of punishment, criminal offenders, the police, courts and correctional institutions, including current crime and deviance issues. You will be provided with both knowledge and research skills and techniques required for the analysis of criminological issues and an understanding of how to critically evaluate published research. At the end of the program, you will undertake a professional portfolio involving your  research and practical expertise in your chosen vocational area.  Eligibility criteria applies to the professional placement option.  The program duration is 4 semesters and 20 weeks (92 weeks).

The combined Masters degree in International Relations and Project Management enables students interested in a career in diplomacy, international trade, government and business to acquire expertise in the planning, implementation and management of projects and programs. The addition of project and program management skills enables you to access more strategic positions in your organisation and to be responsible for overseeing new initiatives involving the management of scope, time, cost and risk. You will graduate with a Master of International Relations and a Master of Project Management upon completion. The combined program is internationally recognised by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

In addition to the foundation Marketing major, you may choose another specialty major or minor as an elective from one of ten Communication areas: Advertising, Communication and Society, Corporate Storytelling, Creative Writing, Digital Media, Film and Television, Journalism, Media Studies, Social Media, and Public Relations. As part of your studies, you may produce marketing strategies and advertising and public relations campaigns for real clients as well as blogs, podcasts, published media stories, and websites. The Bachelor of Film and Television is a heavily hands-on and project-based degree that allows you to balance practical filmmaking production experience with creative practice theory, enabling you to explore and develop your individual creativity and artistic voice. This comprehensive filmmaking program is focused on visual storytelling through the key creative areas of producing, screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, production design, and television broadcasting. These facilities provide sports science testing, training, and recovery services to a variety of elite and sub-elite athletes including state, national and international athletes and teams, providing an exceptional and authentic learning experience for students.  Throughout the degree, you will engage with and deliver a wide range of athlete testing, performance analysis, exercise prescription, and delivery for healthy individuals and non-athletes, as well as strength and conditioning opportunities for athletes. You will also learn, engage and collaborate with other allied health professional students including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nutrition, and dietetics, which models the current best practice for allied health care. The Master of Arts in TESOL develops knowledge and skills necessary for teaching English as a Second or Additional Language and for working in diverse classrooms in varied educational contexts, in Australia and internationally. The program is designed to provide prospective teachers with expert knowledge and skills for the initial experience of language teaching. The program also can provide experienced educators with an opportunity to extend their qualifications and gain advanced professional development.  

The Master of Arts in TESOL involves the completion of twelve (12) subjects which develop expert theoretical knowledge of second language teaching and learning, and provide opportunities for teacher trainees to apply these theories in a language classroom. Students engage in synchronous and asynchronous online/multimodal sessions. These sessions explore principles of teaching and learning English as a second/additional language or dialect and link theories with their classroom applications. Students develop a personalised philosophy and practical approach to classroom teaching. The program examines many areas of language teacher education such as how languages work and function in a society and how they are learnt. Students also learn how to be effective teachers in traditional and online classrooms, how to design language assessment and language programs.   The Practicum of approximately 30-hours, enables students to learn from and observe other language teachers in action, and teach for a minimum of 6 hours under their supervision. Pending their performance in the program, we can assist students located on the Gold Coast in completing the Practicum at Bond University College, an English Language Centre on the Bond University campus.

If students are unable to complete their Practicum at Bond University College, it is their responsibility to secure the placement in another ELT centre. Depending on prior qualifications and individual arrangements, students may organise their Practicum in schools (if they are registered teachers) or in other ELT Centres. Many teachers complete the Practicum at the place of their current employment.   Students work with a lecturer and peers in weekly interactive and collaborative sessions which provide a unique opportunity for becoming part of a dynamic learning community. Students also engage in self-paced learning through pre-recorded and post-recorded resources and gamified learning activities.   Students can commence their studies in the Master of Arts in TESOL in the January, May or September semester. All domestic students students can study either part-time or full-time. International students who study in Australia must enrol in the full-time study option. It is estimated that students need to spend approximately 10 hours per week of study per subject, in order to successfully complete it. Students who are in employment are, therefore, advised to undertake their studies part-time, particularly in their first semester.
