This postgraduate professional program is designed to develop graduates to be work-ready for careers in nutrition and dietetics across practice areas including clinical dietetics, private practice, food service management, public health nutrition, sports nutrition, and nutrition research. This program develops student competencies to exceed the accreditation requirements of the Dietitians Association of Australia, making graduates eligible to apply for accredited practicing dietitian (APD) status within the Dietitians Association of Australia. This program is distinctive because of its emphasis on developing evidence-based practitioners that have had intensive preparation in evidence-based dietetic practice, nutrition research, and international engagement. All students will be required to participate in an international placement as part of their program.

The Master of Accounting (Professional) program is a specialist program for students interested in pursuing a professional accounting qualification. It incorporates the traditional Master of Accounting program designed to provide an opportunity for students with undergraduate training in other fields to gain a professional accounting qualification. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Accounting program with an additional 20-week Professional component. The MAcc (Prof) offers a firm academic grounding in the accounting discipline and offers a hands-on appreciation of the industry. The program is a powerful amalgam of foundational accounting skills, decision-making, leadership and financial literacy with the ability to advise business on financial issues

The Bachelor of International Relations prepares you for a fascinating career in a globalising world. You will explore a rich variety of interconnected issues in International Relations and the factors which shape them, including war and peace on our planet, human security, diplomacy, governance and the influence of climate change on the future world. You will gain insight into politics, economy and diplomacy both in Australia and other world geographic regions. An in-depth understanding of the world around us and the skills needed for its interpretation equip you for future employment in International Relations and many other areas where such capacities are required.

With internationalisation revolutionising education globally, the ability to teach in culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms is no longer only needed by English as a Second Language teachers but is becoming essential for all teachers, at all levels of education in Australia and globally. The Master of Arts in TESOL develops knowledge and skills necessary for teaching English as a Second or Additional Language and for working in diverse classrooms in varied educational contexts, in Australia and internationally. The program is designed to provide prospective teachers with expert knowledge and skills for the initial experience of language teaching. The program also can provide experienced educators with an opportunity to extend their qualifications and gain advanced professional development.  

The Master of Arts in TESOL involves the completion of twelve (12) subjects which develop expert theoretical knowledge of second language teaching and learning, and provide opportunities for teacher trainees to apply these theories in a language classroom. Students engage in synchronous and asynchronous online/multimodal sessions. These sessions explore principles of teaching and learning English as a second/additional language or dialect and link theories with their classroom applications. Students develop a personalised philosophy and practical approach to classroom teaching. The program examines many areas of language teacher education such as how languages work and function in a society and how they are learnt. Students also learn how to be effective teachers in traditional and online classrooms, how to design language assessment and language programs.   The Practicum of approximately 30-hours, enables students to learn from and observe other language teachers in action, and teach for a minimum of 6 hours under their supervision. Pending their performance in the program, we can assist students located on the Gold Coast in completing the Practicum at Bond University College, an English Language Centre on the Bond University campus.

If students are unable to complete their Practicum at Bond University College, it is their responsibility to secure the placement in another ELT centre. Depending on prior qualifications and individual arrangements, students may organise their Practicum in schools (if they are registered teachers) or in other ELT Centres. Many teachers complete the Practicum at the place of their current employment.   Students work with a lecturer and peers in weekly interactive and collaborative sessions which provide a unique opportunity for becoming part of a dynamic learning community. Students also engage in self-paced learning through pre-recorded and post-recorded resources and gamified learning activities.   Students can commence their studies in the Master of Arts in TESOL in the January, May or September semester. All domestic students students can study either part-time or full-time. International students who study in Australia must enrol in the full-time study option. It is estimated that students need to spend approximately 10 hours per week of study per subject, in order to successfully complete it. Students who are in employment are, therefore, advised to undertake their studies part-time, particularly in their first semester.

The Master of Project Management program provides a comprehensive business-ready foundation that will equip students from any background with the knowledge required to develop a career and expertise in project management. The Master of Project Management features four distinct study themes including strategy, sustainability, managing complex problems and teams, and virtual teams and global working. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including conflict resolution, effective integrated planning, management, market performance, portfolio management, public and private sector investment and risk identification. External speakers from leading investment banks, credit agencies and portfolio fund managers contribute to case studies and workshops.

If you are looking to develop or enhance your expertise in the rapidly expanding field of professional communication, the Master of Communication is for you. As a student in the program, you will gain applied skills and knowledge in advertising, public relations, social media, human communication theory, relational communication, organisational communication and leadership, and communication research. You will also undertake a research project of your own choosing. Throughout the program, you will develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in professional communication to equip you for roles in the fields of advertising, public relations, social media, research, management and leadership, and internal communication in private, public, and non-profit organisations.

Accredited by the Actuaries Institute, the Master of Actuarial Science is an innovative and immersive program that combines elements of economics, finance, statistics, data analytics and advanced mathematics to develop techniques for the management of risk and business decision making.  The Master of Actuarial Science will be taught via smaller classes for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bond University's Bond FinTech Hub and Bloomberg data-sourcing terminals. The program will develop skills in the challenge of crunching 'big data' numbers to create practical solutions for real-world problems.  Employment opportunities include working as an investment analyst, portfolio manager, actuarial consultant, insurance actuary, superannuation actuary, risk analyst, big data analyst, liability manager and high-level manager.  The successful completion of the program at an appropriate level of performance will lead to Part I qualification with the Actuaries Institute

The Bachelor of Design in Architecture provides the foundation for a career in broad fields of design and creative practice, with a specialisation in the discipline of architecture. The Bachelor of Design in Architecture provides a broad design education in a creative studio-based environment focusing heavily upon learning to design through hands-on making and the use of state-of-the-art digital tools. Learning in a design studio comprises the majority of coursework and is project-based. This features projects focused upon real-world scenarios, collaborating with students and external guests from interdisciplinary fields of expertise to develop solutions for a range of stakeholders and end-users. In addition to practical skills and disciplinary knowledge learned through studio and seminar-based studies in design, communications, technology, history, theory, and professional studies, students acquire ‘soft skills’ in collaboration, teamwork, time management, interpersonal communication, self-critique, and overall, spatial intelligence which is unique to an architectural education. Through the program offerings at the Abedian School of Architecture, issues of pressing international and national concern form the core content of the studio curriculum. Among the most prominent of these are the challenges posed by our contemporary condition globally, one characterised by rapid urbanisation, environmental change, technological emergence, and increasing socioeconomic inequity. The Bachelor of Design in Architecture aims to prepare students for globally-relevant employment by immersion into a program that provides broad yet focused experiences in synthesising diverse information in the resolution of complex creative-design challenges.     Established as a highly-flexible and student-focused degree program, students will study for 2 years full time but may also choose to study part-time. Studies include content from the disciplines of architecture, digital media, construction, urban planning, film, and university electives. Key highlights of the program include an annual all-school “charrette”, several off-campus study tours (including international study opportunities), a monthly international guest-lecture series, study with distinguished guest faculty and Architects-In-Residence, a bi-annual student exhibition and publication, and an internationally and nationally recognised academic staff of scholars and practitioner-teachers. The Bachelor of Design in Architecture is a standard degree pathway leading toward a Master of Architecture, which is the terminal award allowing graduates to gain registration as an Architect in Australia and other jurisdictions that recognise the award. Graduates of the Bachelor of Design in Architecture program may progress to the Master of Architecture upon application and review of undergraduate performance. However, entry to the Master of Architecture is not automatic

This cutting edge program has been designed in strong collaboration with industry to assist construction and other built environment professionals to upskill in order to comply with the stringent practice requirements being demanded by government and knowledgeable private sector clients regarding the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Lean Construction Practice (Lean) and Integrated Project delivery (IPD) in optimised construction project delivery.

The Master of Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery program prepares students for advanced involvement as relevant BIM/Lean/IPD Managers in their work environment, for the benefit of projects and their stakeholders.

The program is delivered in intensive mode and has the objective of preparing industry professionals to serve as BIM/Lean/IPD managers. While the course does cover various BIM-related technologies, it does not prepare students to be specialist technicians in the niche areas of the technologies covered by the curriculum. The program includes a capstone subject (40 credit points) in which students work on a realistic BIM/Lean/IPD project that requires application, analysis and synthesis of complex ‘project’ data. Limited placement opportunites may be available based on required performance criteria.

The Master of International Hotel and Tourism Management program is designed for students seeking senior management roles, or wanting to own and operate their own business, within the hotel and tourism industries. Students will complete a program of core business and advanced hotel and tourism management subjects. These advanced subjects are designed to equip graduates with key capabilities expected of managers in the hotel and tourism sectors - including the ability to analyse complex information; develop strategies to identify and manage risk; build business resilience; embed sustainable practices into the business, and manage revenue. The program prepares students to think critically, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in senior management positions in an industry which is characterised by change and uncertainty.
