The Master of Information Systems provides you the opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills in information technology, with a focus on business analysis skills at a professional level. Within this highly relevant framework you will be well prepared to contribute to future growth and change, whilst at the same time enhancing your individual advancement opportunities. This course develops your capacity to manage the functional responsibility for choosing, implementing and maintaining information systems within an organisation in any industry.

This course will provide you with the choice of completing an internship or project stream to contextualise your learning. Generally, the internship will be made of up a 10-week placement with a relevant organisation, with assessments completed throughout the term. Please note, internships cannot be taken at your current employer. Alternatively, the capstone stream provides the opportunity to apply your knowledge to an industry-relevant project. Projects in the capstone stream may be taken with your employer, provided other students can also participate in the same project.

The Associate Degree of Digital Media can prepare you for paraprofessional work within the media and communications industry by providing practical skills and relevant theory that can be applied in a variety of fields associated with design, technology and media.

The Diploma of Business Studies course is designed to provide you with foundation skills in business and management. The course equips you with knowledge and skills required in business accounting, analytics, economics, legal issues in business, management and marketing; plus the opportunity to explore human resource management, property or financial planning. The course includes seven core units of study and one elective unit which provides you with foundation skills to either undertake further study in a business related bachelor degree or enter into employment. Successful completion of the diploma will provide opportunity for you to receive credit for eight units of study in the Bachelor of Business. You have the option to pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Business degree or enter into employment. The course provides opportunity for you to undertake part time or online study while balancing your personal and professional commitments.

With a focus on construction management and project management, you will gain skills and knowledge to embrace the principles of project management as they apply across different phases of the construction project cycle to achieve successful project outcomes in terms of time, cost, quality, safety and sustainability. As part of this course, you will complete a research project unit where you will have the opportunity to engage in applied research for a project relevant to the construction industry. This course provides an opportunity for you to extend your knowledge through coursework into project management and/or develop a research career in your relevant profession. This course focuses on both the hard technical and soft human aspects of project management. All the course materials have been aligned to the Project Management Institute (PMI) global standards and core bodies of knowledge. In the final year of the course, you can choose one of three streams; a research stream, a practicum stream, or an internship stream.

If you opt for the research stream your project can be based on either your workplace or issues that are important to your profession. The research stream will also allow you to meet the eligibility criteria to enrol in a Ph.D. program should you have a plan for an academic career as it suffices the threshold ratio of the research components in the Masters Course. The practicum is student-led and you will develop a project within a simulated company environment. Alternatively, you can opt for an internship, and if you are eligible, you will be placed at a host organisation to further develop your skills and competencies and obtain authentic experience in project management.
