The Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences will equip you with practical skills in the various disciplines relevant to exercise and sport sciences such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, exercise and sport psychology, motor control and learning, and exercise prescription and delivery.

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes and mechanisms of the human body as they relate to exercise and sport science and have the flexibility to pursue an area of interest, with your choice of Minor. The Master of Engineering allows you the opportunity to develop professional skills such as teamwork and communication while applying and further developing the theoretical knowledge you gained in your undergraduate study. If you are a practicing engineer, this is a versatile course that allows you to extend or expand your engineering practice.  

This course begins with an introduction to Australian engineering practice, providing the opportunity to apply discipline knowledge and skills in an authentic project, in some cases with an industry mentor, and will help to prepare you for engineering practice. You will then complete an internship of a minimum of 300 hours to gain work experience required to meet the accreditation requirements of the course. If you have significant and recent engineering experience (at least 480 hours) you may opt out of this unit and choose an elective unit as an alternative.

Depending on your choice of elective units, you will study one or two units from topics including sustainability, mining, project management and rail providing the opportunity to contextualise your learning to your current or preferred industry. Finally, you will complete a major research project that will demonstrate your ability to work as a professional engineer.

An Associate Degree of Information Technology will provide you with a foundation to begin your pursuit of a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic career in the information technology industry.

The course is designed to build a high level of technical and evaluative skill so you can assess and implement recommendations for best practice in patient testing, monitoring, education or to develop therapeutics in the cutting-edge medical biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. The course also aims to develop high level communication skills so that you can interact positively with patients/clients, other health professionals or industry leaders and are ready for the clinical or scientific work environment.

Clinical decision making and problem solving ability will be promoted through opportunities such as developing skills in designing, conducting and interpreting medical research.

Clinical Measurement

Clinical Measurement involves diagnosing disease and fine-tuning therapeutic management of already established disease by performing physiological tests such as electrocardiography (ECG) and 24-hour halter monitoring. Upon completion of the Clinical Measurement specialisation, you will be ready to pursue a role as a Medical Scientist in clinical measurement laboratories. Medical Scientists form a vital link in the chain of medical services and assess the physiological functioning of the cardiovascular, nervous and respiratory systems.

Nutrition is an important and diverse field in today's society. Choosing to study Nutrition will enable you to work with individuals or communities to promote healthy lifestyle choices and prevent diet-related disease. Completing the Nutrition specialisation will prepare you for a career in nutrition education, advocacy, food advertising and communication, research, nutrition science, nutrition behaviour, sport and exercise and biomedical nutrition. HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing reflects the role of an enrolled nurse working under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse.

Enrolled nurses provide nursing care for people across the health care continuum and at all stages of life.

To be eligible to apply for registration as an enrolled nurse and to practice in Australia, individuals must complete a Diploma of Nursing program accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and approved as ‘an approved program of study’ by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) in accordance with the Enrolled Nurse Accreditation Standards.
