CQUniversity's Bachelor of Business is an innovative course that builds foundation business and management skills and prepares you for the future world of work. The course allows you to build your knowledge, skills, and practice in your chosen profession or discipline through authentic learning experiences that develop engaged globally-aware citizens able to contribute to communities and industry. The course is designed for students who are planning a career in business and management in diverse organisations.

There are eight compulsory core units and a choice of one of four business discipline majors. You can then choose a second major or two minors from the business discipline providing you meet the pre-requisite requirements. This provides you with the unique opportunity to develop a breadth of knowledge to meet and adapt to the changing nature of careers and work. This course provides you with opportunities to study a broad range of topics relating to aspects of management and business administration. You will develop key competencies crucial for successful business leadership and the management of people and apply these in an emotionally intelligent way. You will also develop knowledge and capabilities related to key business functions of strategy, economics, marketing, organisational and industry structure, operations and business analytics and the legal issues that affect managers, leaders and organisations. The Graduate Diploma of Business Administration allows articulation into the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

In this innovative course, the origins and evolution of public health and the underlying principles of community-based and community-led public health will be explored. The social-ecological model of health forms the basis of the Graduate Diploma in Public Health and you will be introduced to complex adaptive systems thinking and how this influences the way we think about public health.

This approach reflects contemporary trends in public health and provides the basis of innovative interventions for social change. You will undertake units that outline the origins and evolution of public health and the underlying principles of community-based and community-led public health. You will explore fundamental concepts associated with these principles, including complex adaptive systems thinking, social and environmental determinants of health, social epidemiology, social justice, partnership development and participatory research. You will have the opportunity to apply these concepts in practical ways in both strengths-based and disease prevention approaches.
The course offers you the choice of two electives from a restricted set of non-public health units in order to complement your public health practice. This will allow you to develop multi- and trans-disciplinary synergies between public health and at least one other field of study.

The Graduate Diploma of Construction Management (GDCM-CL83) course incorporates principles of project management as it applies across different phases of the construction cycle to achieve successful project outcomes in terms of time, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability for construction projects. This course provides the basis for exciting careers as construction managers and assists with employment areas of Construction Management including Project Management principles, Construction Contract Administration, Construction Risk Management and Construction Technology.

It also provides valuable education for those seeking a broader career basis such as; architects, builders, engineers, quantity surveyors, construction economists, and facilities managers. This course will provide opportunities for students to advance their studies in construction management in either full-time or part-time modes. As this course incorporates the first eight units of the Master of Construction Management (MCM-CL82), students can use CL83 as a pathway to extend their studies to the masters program.
