Through your subject selection, you can choose to build your expertise in English/literacy, mathematics/numeracy, or STEM.

Osteopaths are trained in diagnosis, management, and treatment of musculoskeletal pain disorders. They combine conventional medical testing procedures and skills of palpation and motion testing to inform their clinical rationale for treating a patient's condition.

You will be trained in musculoskeletal diagnosis, clinical procedures in performing conventional medical tests, physical examination techniques, and motion testing in order to assist in diagnosis of a patient’s condition.

Osteopaths make treatment decisions that depend on the patient as well as their condition. They might give advice on posture, exercise, lifting procedures, nutrition and other areas.

You will begin work-integrated learning in first year, with clinical observations in the RMIT Health Clinic.

In the final two years, you will conduct safe, skilled evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints under the supervision of qualified and nationally registered osteopaths, over a period of 38 weeks per year.

There is also an opportunity to complete a work placement in an Australian osteopathic clinic.

With RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours), you'll design aircraft and spacecraft, develop propulsion systems, research new materials, test new engines, develop rockets and plan maintenance subjects.

In this internationally recognised degree you'll gain specialist skills in analysing, designing, and operating sophisticated aeronautics and astronautics hardware and software.

You'll study a broad range of areas such as aerodynamics, aerospace materials and structures, aerospace systems, design, dynamics and control, thermodynamics, and propulsion.

Minor options in Aircraft and Spacecraft Technologies will allow you to tailor the degree to suit your areas of interest and enhance your career opportunities.

Sustainability issues are built into multiple areas of the aerospace engineering degree. This increases your employability as there is increasing demand for long-term engineering solutions in this industry. You'll also learn to appreciate the wider social implications of the engineering profession.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your learning in the real world through capstone projects, industry placements, and participation in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge.

RMIT's Bachelor of Biomedical Science will equip you with a fundamental understanding of the human body and how it interacts with disease: how it occurs, what happens, and how we can control, cure and prevent it.

Studying in purpose-built facilities, you'll develop an understanding of the research process and gain practical experience with the modern technologies used in biomedical research, ensuring you are job-ready when you graduate.

You'll have the flexibility to choose your specialisation. Specialist areas include cell biology, neuroscience, human anatomy, human physiology, and biochemistry and molecular biology.

This biomedical science degree is an ideal preparation for graduate entry into health sciences degrees such as medicine, physiotherapy and dentistry. It also prepares you for entry into postgraduate Honours and higher degree research programs.

Major areas of study include foundational nursing care, acute care nursing, and mental health nursing.

Theoretical content is supported with nursing practice laboratories, clinical simulation and clinical practice.

Other areas of study include anatomy and physiology and complex care nursing in both acute care and mental health settings with an emphasis on research-based practice.

The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences conducts research in the area of ageing and chronic disease. Experienced researchers will supervise your work in the areas of:

• Diabetes, fatty liver disease and obesity: nutritional factors and drug discovery
• Early-life determinants of chronic metabolic disorders
• Musculoskeletal function and pain
• Respiratory and sleep disorders.

The research methodologies available to students include:

• Use of laboratory disease models and evaluations
• Biochemical assays, molecular biology techniques and signalling pathway investigations
• Discovery of clinical biomarkers and new therapies for chronic disease.

You will undertake clinical or experimental research in one of these fields with an individual supervisor overseeing your development and progress.

Research is undertaken in a strongly multi-disciplinary environment that brings clinical and basic researchers together to undertake novel research at the boundaries between disciplines.
