Osteopaths are trained in diagnosis, management, and treatment of musculoskeletal pain disorders. They combine conventional medical testing procedures and skills of palpation and motion testing to inform their clinical rationale for treating a patient's condition.

You will be trained in musculoskeletal diagnosis, clinical procedures in performing conventional medical tests, physical examination techniques, and motion testing in order to assist in diagnosis of a patient’s condition.

Osteopaths make treatment decisions that depend on the patient as well as their condition. They might give advice on posture, exercise, lifting procedures, nutrition and other areas.

You will begin work-integrated learning in first year, with clinical observations in the RMIT Health Clinic.

In the final two years, you will conduct safe, skilled evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints under the supervision of qualified and nationally registered osteopaths, over a period of 38 weeks per year.

There is also an opportunity to complete a work placement in an Australian osteopathic clinic.

You’ll have the opportunity to design creative solutions through inspiring and sustainable design-and-build projects, as well as taking part in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge — a humanitarian-focused course offered in all RMIT engineering degrees.

As a student in this degree, you will build the necessary knowledge to perform and oversee a range of diagnostic procedures in a clinical pathology laboratory. You'll also hone your skills in problem solving and critical thinking.

During this degree, you will choose two areas of specialisation. These advanced clinical pathology discipline streams include:

• Anatomical pathology

The Master of Laboratory Medicine is designed for graduates of general science or biomedical science degrees who are interested in a career in diagnostic pathology or medical research but who lack experience in the diagnostic laboratory disciplines.

Are you looking to extend your skills in psychology? This honours degree introduces you to professional issues, theories, and methods of data analysis in contemporary psychology research.

Explore the scientific discipline of psychology and its application in the workplace. In the Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) (Honours), you will learn about psychological assessments and interventions, and write two theses that directly engage you in the research process.

The Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Honours) provides industry-based participatory learning.

Placement allocation is determined by a competitive process. Based on student areas of interest, partners conduct interviews and select their preferred candidates.

Graduates continuing into honours from the RMIT Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences undergraduate degree will commence placement selection in third year.

Applicants graduating from an equivalent degree from other institutions will liaise with the program coordinator to facilitate preferences and placement interview times after application and enrolment.

The Bachelor of Health, Physical Education and Sport (Secondary)  has been designed to equip you with the professional knowledge and practical skills you need to teach in diverse school settings.

Utilising a strong core curriculum with an explicit focus on teaching practice, and you will learn to use a range of teaching strategies that engage your students' needs, use assessment and data to inform practice, and use critical reflection to impact the future of your classroom.
