1. Development - Explore international systems and global processes, learn how to negotiate cross-culturally, and delve into strategic and ethical leadership.
2. Global Security - What are the international security challenges that leaders face, and how can communication, strategy and policy help manage this?
3. Languages - Develop communication skills that go beyond multilingualism, explore the nature and politics of language, and grow a stronger appreciation for cultures and communities.

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) refers to the application of scientific principles to understand the risks to the safety and health of people in workplaces and to take action to control these.

Occupational health and safety is a multidisciplinary profession examining the technical and social aspects of work with applications in most industries and commerce.

The course focuses on the science and technology of risk management through assessment and evaluation of hazards and development of specific control mechanisms.

Learn how to apply a risk management model to hazards in the workplace, allowing you to recognise the context, evaluate the risk, and generate control solutions. You will use the model of OHS Professional Practice for problem solving which involves gathering information about the issue, diagnosing the issue, developing and implementing appropriate interventions, and evaluating their effectiveness, all the while communicating with relevant stakeholders.
You will develop advanced knowledge in:

• The global concepts of health, safety and work, and the implications that these have in organisations
• The socio-political and organisational context in which work occurs and how this impacts work design and its effects on the workers
• The physical, ergonomic and psychosocial causes of fatalities, injuries and ill health arising from work
• Recognition of hazards, assessment and evaluation of their risk, and development of suitable controls

You will learn to apply these concepts in a range of contexts, allowing you to develop confidence and proficiency in your professional OHS and occupational hygiene practice. Many of your assessments will incorporate Work Integrated Learning (WIL) by focusing on OHS issues in your work situation.

This degree will provide you with the foundation research skills that will support your future career as a scientist or researcher.

• Research experience is required for most academic and research positions, and increasingly for positions in other sectors.

In consultation with your discipline honours coordinator and your supervisor, you'll be allocated a project to develop your skills to an advanced level.

The Master of Landscape Architecture is about envisioning, investigating, and proposing better ways of living in a complex and changing world.

You’ll learn through design studios, which operate as laboratories conducive to experimentation, investigation, and the exploration of design as an agent that responds to issues in the built environment. This in-depth master's degree provides current or aspiring managers with high-level expertise in planning, directing, implementing, and monitoring an organisation's marketing efforts.

Through the Master of Marketing, you will understand the role of marketing and its relationship with other important functional areas in management to get an all-of-business view, and develop appropriate marketing tactics and strategies.

Explore the core disciplines of digital media and its place in society.

With a clear focus on design, the Bachelor of Design (Digital Media) offers you the opportunity to explore diverse aspects of media, and gain a strong digital media literacy.

Combining theory with practical industry-based knowledge, you will develop a digital media design specialisation in interactive media, digital video, digital sound, or digital environments.
You'll explore fields including:

• Web and app design
• Visual effects, compositioning, and motion graphics
• Interactive mobile media design
• Sound design
• Virtual and augmented reality
• Projection and digital installations.

You will gain a solid grounding in contemporary digital media design theory and practice, and will explore how digital content can be planned, produced, applied and integrated.

This honours degree offers you the opportunity to advance your design process, develop independent practice, and deepen your specialisation in textile design industries.

You will research and examine your design practice within the context of critical, engaged and contemporary textiles systems, and related disciplines. 

This degree is designed as part of the Advanced Fashion and Textiles Design Studios, where you will be immersed in creatively challenging and engaging contemporary practice.

As a graduate, you will be able to demonstrate design strategies that reflect contemporary practice, emerging markets and economies, and materially-led design across and outside the textile and fashion design discipline. This advanced knowledge will deepen your portfolio, and set you up for professional design and design-related roles in industry. 

The degree structure utilises research-enabled subjects and strategies to tap into emergent discipline areas, and offers specific pathways through a project-led model and independently-designed projects in specific industry contexts.

The Master of Communication will build your strengths in understanding the fundamentals of communication in a changing media and industry landscape and provide valuable insight into current trends and practice.

The curriculum is delivered by a joint mix of academics and industry practitioners, giving you that balance across the theoretical and real-world application.

n the Master of Animation, Games and Interactivity, our students work alongside ACMI X, exhibit their work at the Melbourne International Animation Festival, and have opportunities to collaborate with academic staff, industry practitioners, and RMIT research centres.

You will develop your directorial vision as you learn concepts and techniques of narrative, visual, and interactive media in a studio setting.

This degree builds on more than 20 years of RMIT’s success in postgraduate teaching and research, focusing on the advanced theoretical and practical aspects of professional production in animation, games, and interactive media.

As you acquire skills in these areas, you will develop a directorial vision and in-depth understanding of narrative, visual, and interactive media through studio projects and collaborations that focus on current global trends.

By the end of your studies, you will have completed a number of major studio works in your specialisation, as well as a substantial amount of research.
