The Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) looks at animation in all its forms, from the animated character to motion graphics across linear and interactive environments. You’ll delve into the exploration of colour, materials and finishes, interior construction techniques, soft furnishings, and fabrics and furniture. With research and practical tasks across historical and contemporary styles and trends, you’ll develop high-level documentation and technical skills in order to respond to professional briefs for both residential and commercial clients.

You'll develop a deeper understanding of commercial and residential interiors, spatial layout, furnishings and decorative treatments, and the documentation process.

As an interior designer, you will:

• Develop well-planned and functional spaces

• Draw sketches and produce samples of your design ideas

Projects will provide you with opportunity to work directly with industry to develop an understanding of associated vocational roles.

On successful completion graduates may be employed in assisting in commercial design offices, working with lead designers in boutique design or decoration consultancies, working in colour consulting, and fulfilling design and decoration consultation outcomes in other related retail and wholesale sectors of the industry.

As an interior designer and decorator, you will create aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces working to design briefs. You’ll also design residential and commercial environments, drew sketches and produce samples of your designs. You will work directly with clients, specify materials, finishes and colour schemes, provide advice on artwork, supervise on-site design and construction, keep up with global trends and communicate effectively with clients and project consultants.

The Master of Biotechnology focuses on the study of living systems to address challenges in the environment, health or food science.

Students will explore gene and protein technologies, bioinformatics, and various microbiology and food science disciplines, both in the classroom and via a strong component of hands-on laboratory practicals.

All students have the opportunity to analyse real-world data when they undertake a research project.
