RMIT's Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) focuses on the operational, managerial and planning aspects of airlines, airports, and associated industries.

You will gain a comprehensive appreciation of the aviation operating environment, and develop leadership, business, analytical and problem solving skills, enabling you to solve real problems in the aviation workplace.

You will be able to tailor your aviation studies to suit your interests and career goals. Study airline and airport operations, aviation management, aircraft maintenance, human factors, aviation safety and security, and business analytics.

A capstone experience will provide you with hands-on, industry experience so you will graduate job-ready. The aviation industry project will provides you with the opportunity to apply your industry knowledge and undertake a project focusing on a real-world aviation industry problem or issue.

A degree in international studies will guide you toward a multitude of careers across the globe. If you’re passionate about international affairs and cultural diversity, this course will help prepare you for a versatile and imaginative future.

During your studies, you will build a strong understanding of intercultural, social and political issues and how to address them. You have the opportunity to select a specialisation stream, with three to choose from:

1. Development - Explore international systems and global processes, learn how to negotiate cross-culturally, and delve into strategic and ethical leadership.
2. Global Security - What are the international security challenges that leaders face, and how can communication, strategy and policy help manage this?
3. Languages - Develop communication skills that go beyond multilingualism, explore the nature and politics of language, and grow a stronger appreciation for cultures and communities.

In the award-winning Associate Degree in Design (Furniture Design), you will learn to make creative and original?furniture designs with a strong grounding in design methods, manufacturing technologies?and processes informed by cultural and social factors.

As a student of this degree, you will work on combining real-life industry projects and design theory with a hands-on focus on production to create sustainable contemporary modern furniture products. It teaches you to investigate contemporary, cultural and environmental aspects of professional furniture design practice.

You will gain the skills to explore design through real-world industry projects with highly-regarded design companies, and connect with Australian and international industry mentors who will work with you to provide feedback on the commercial viability of your design work.

As a graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to compete in local and international design competitions such as London Design Week, Fringe Design, Workshopped Design Show Australia, and VIVID (Décor + Design).

Gain the project management skills to initiate, plan, and execute complex projects across a range of industries.

Project management is an occupation that demands multi-tasking, analytical thinking, excellent communication and superior organisational skills.

This degree will give you the theoretical knowledge and practical know-how to take projects from inception to completion. It will arm you with tools to manage projects across a range of scales and complexities, and develop your skills for working on projects in various industries.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management) (Honours) was developed in response to the growing industry demand for project management skills. It is grounded in residential, commercial and industrial construction for civil, environmental and government projects.

The combination of our expert teachers, passionate researchers, connection to industry and strong practical focus means that RMIT graduates are among the most employable in Australia.

Use your advanced research skills to contribute to new developments in radiotherapy, diagnostic medical procedures and health physics.

This program is assessed by both a research project and the completion of five courses.

The research project is in medical or health physics, and is examined by thesis.

The coursework is vocationally relevant to radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, radiation protection and health physics, and is available in online mode.

You will complete Research Methods for Sciences in your first semester. Four other courses will be undertaken in subsequent semesters.

The program is accredited by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) as an approved postgraduate qualification forming a compulsory component of the requirements to become a certified medical physicist.

Research activities are conducted within related research institutes and groups including the Applied Electromagnetics and Radiation Physics Research Group.

You will use state-of-the-art equipment and facilities including:

This degree is designed to prepare you for roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager or IT Consultant where you will act as a bridge between IT and the business delivering solutions for stakeholders.

Students can also gain insights and explore opportunities for mentoring and employment, by interacting with guest speakers from a range of organisations.

Construction is not just about building sites, but about building a bigger picture: the planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to delivery.

In this diploma, you'll examine the principles, techniques and regulations of the building and construction industry for all types of medium-rise and wide-span buildings up to 25 metres high.

This practical curriculum incorporates hands-on work and project-based learning. You'll experience many aspects of building projects and understand how they all relate to each other. You’ll go on site excursions to gain hands-on field experience which will include visits to residential and commercial construction projects.

Graduates have the option to continue further studies in construction, project management, or property services with RMIT.

With RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours), you'll design aircraft and spacecraft, develop propulsion systems, research new materials, test new engines, develop rockets and plan maintenance subjects.

In this internationally recognised degree you'll gain specialist skills in analysing, designing, and operating sophisticated aeronautics and astronautics hardware and software.

You'll study a broad range of areas such as aerodynamics, aerospace materials and structures, aerospace systems, design, dynamics and control, thermodynamics, and propulsion.

Minor options in Aircraft and Spacecraft Technologies will allow you to tailor the degree to suit your areas of interest and enhance your career opportunities.

Sustainability issues are built into multiple areas of the aerospace engineering degree. This increases your employability as there is increasing demand for long-term engineering solutions in this industry. You'll also learn to appreciate the wider social implications of the engineering profession.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your learning in the real world through capstone projects, industry placements, and participation in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge.

Further develop your creative practice and hone your photography skills in this practical, industry-led diploma.

In the Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging, you will have the opportunity to further develop your artistic practice and hone your creative skills. 

Designed to build practical and highly transferrable skills across a range of industry contexts, including commercial, advertising, documentary, editorial, institutional and fine art photography, this qualification will teach you to:

• Interpret photo imaging assignment briefs
• Consult with clients to refine objectives of photo imaging assignments
• Select the appropriate tools to capture images, including types of camera, image recording media, lighting, post-capture processing and outputs
• Work from a studio or in a range of locations
• Employ aesthetic, conceptual, compositional and technical skills to realise photo imaging outcomes, and 
• Utilise a range of traditional, contemporary and emergent technologies in the capture, preparation and distribution of images.

As a graduate of this diploma, you will have a sound theoretical and practical knowledge base, and the skills to use a range of specialised and technical skills to plan, execute and evaluate photography and photo imaging services.
