Construction is not just about building sites, but about building a bigger picture: the planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to delivery.

In this diploma, you'll examine the principles, techniques and regulations of the building and construction industry for all types of medium-rise and wide-span buildings up to 25 metres high.

Master of Applied Science in Health and Medical Physics

Use your advanced research skills to contribute to new developments in radiotherapy, diagnostic medical procedures and health physics.

This program is assessed by both a research project and the completion of five courses.

The research project is in medical or health physics, and is examined by thesis.

The coursework is vocationally relevant to radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, radiation protection and health physics, and is available in online mode.

You will complete Research Methods for Sciences in your first semester. Four other courses will be undertaken in subsequent semesters.

The program is accredited by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) as an approved postgraduate qualification forming a compulsory component of the requirements to become a certified medical physicist.

Research activities are conducted within related research institutes and groups including the Applied Electromagnetics and Radiation Physics Research Group.

You will use state-of-the-art equipment and facilities including:

The Graduate Diploma in Journalism is designed to enhance your undergraduate qualification with focused study in journalism. This one-year diploma sets you up for a career as a journalist by allowing you to explore all forms of contemporary journalism and put modern practice into its legal, ethical and social context. 

As part of the curriculum, you will present and produce live radio news for community radio station RRR and our live-to-air television news program, Newsline, as well as create text and data reports for our publication The City Journal.

You will work individually with our work placement coordinator to find at least one internship as part of your study.
