The Graduate Diploma in Journalism is designed to enhance your undergraduate qualification with focused study in journalism. This one-year diploma sets you up for a career as a journalist by allowing you to explore all forms of contemporary journalism and put modern practice into its legal, ethical and social context. 

As part of the curriculum, you will present and produce live radio news for community radio station RRR and our live-to-air television news program, Newsline, as well as create text and data reports for our publication The City Journal.

The Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) is the first 3 years of a 6-year pathway towards becoming a registered psychologist. You will learn how to install, operate and troubleshoot medium enterprise routers and switches, design user experience (UX) solutions, build dynamic websites, design and integrate databases, design, build and test network servers, and more. You will also build professional skills including promoting cyber security awareness and best practice, managing client issues, and originating and developing concepts.

This Qualification has been superseded by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment and will change in 2023.

You can still apply for this program and you will be supported to transfer into the new qualification once it becomes available. This may result in changes to the program structure, content and fees.

In this advanced diploma course, you’ll gain the practical and technical skills to work with civil engineers on the design and construction of infrastructure projects.

The Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Civil Engineering Design) also provides a pathway to an engineering degree.

Civil and structural engineering involves the design and construction of roads, airports, railways, buildings, bridges, dams and drainage systems.

You’ll develop skills:

• Using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to produce detailed drawings, plans and designs for construction work
• Doing cost estimates and preparing material specifications
• Liaising with construction workers and project managers
• Inspecting completed works to ensure they meet specifications and regulations
• Conducting laboratory and/or field testing of materials, soil and water quality.
