The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Directing) is delivered as part of a sequence, beginning with the Diploma of Screen and Media (Content Creation).

Upon satisfactory completion of the diploma you will be eligible to progress to the advanced diploma.

This advanced diploma gives you the broad base necessary to move ahead in the art, design, screen and media industries. RMIT is renowned as Australia's leader in screen, interactive and new media education. The Master of Communication will build your strengths in understanding the fundamentals of communication in a changing media and industry landscape and provide valuable insight into current trends and practice.

The curriculum is delivered by a joint mix of academics and industry practitioners, giving you that balance across the theoretical and real-world application.

The Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) looks at animation in all its forms, from the animated character to motion graphics across linear and interactive environments. Presented in a creative environment, this degree focuses on intellectual investigation and conceptual development.

Upon graduating, you will demonstrate aesthetic and intellectual maturity, as well as strong technical abilities within design, media and art disciplines.

It will also provide you with the capacity to address the international regulation of business and critically evaluate the impacts of decisions and practice through case studies and interactive and experiential learning activities.

The Bachelor of Youth Work and Youth Studies explores complex social issues affecting at-risk youth, such as homelessness, radicalisation, poverty and mental health. It encourages critical debate and investigation of youth in relation to space, digital landscapes, culture, religion, family and the law.

This degree aims to examine and foster the environments in which all young people can thrive and feel confident, connected and safe.

Construction is not just about building sites, but about building a bigger picture: the planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to delivery.

In this diploma, you'll examine the principles, techniques and regulations of the building and construction industry for all types of medium-rise and wide-span buildings up to 25 metres high.

This practical curriculum incorporates hands-on work and project-based learning. You'll experience many aspects of building projects and understand how they all relate to each other. You’ll go on site excursions to gain hands-on field experience which will include visits to residential and commercial construction projects.

Graduates have the option to continue further studies in construction, project management, or property services with RMIT.

In the Diploma of Information Technology you will be guided by experienced teachers with extensive industry experience to develop a project portfolio designed to help launch a career in IT.

The quantitatively oriented Master of Finance provides both depth and breadth in finance. Designed to enhance your analytical and problem-solving abilities and develop your understanding of the principles of finance, it explores finance, financial modelling, econometrics, trading, research and the analysis of financial markets.

Using real-time market data, you’ll participate in trading simulations and workshops for multi-asset portfolio and risk analysis, hedging, and money market and foreign exchange instruments trading, all in purpose-built facilities in the heart of Melbourne.

A flair for creative expression will be complemented by proficiency in the business of writing, allowing you to understand the publishing process and learn the skills required to become a freelance writer, collaborator or creative entrepreneur, across multiple media platforms.
