n the Master of Animation, Games and Interactivity, our students work alongside ACMI X, exhibit their work at the Melbourne International Animation Festival, and have opportunities to collaborate with academic staff, industry practitioners, and RMIT research centres.

You will develop your directorial vision as you learn concepts and techniques of narrative, visual, and interactive media in a studio setting.

This degree builds on more than 20 years of RMIT’s success in postgraduate teaching and research, focusing on the advanced theoretical and practical aspects of professional production in animation, games, and interactive media.

As you acquire skills in these areas, you will develop a directorial vision and in-depth understanding of narrative, visual, and interactive media through studio projects and collaborations that focus on current global trends.

By the end of your studies, you will have completed a number of major studio works in your specialisation, as well as a substantial amount of research.

With the Master of Public Policy you will learn how you can contribute to positive policy outcomes, and participate in debates regarding power, politics, and complexity.

Taught by leading policy academics and industry professionals, the course reflects the latest debates, issues, and approaches to global, national, and local policy making and development.
You'll explore and develop frameworks for issues, such as:

Financial Planning
Study a range of areas including personal planning, taxation, estate planning, superannuation, insurance and investment planning to qualify to work as a financial planner.

Expand on your love of languages and develop the skills to use, translate and interpret language every day, in settings as diverse as policy making, strategic debate, and analytical thinking.

Studying the Master of Translating and Interpreting in the heart of Melbourne, you'll learn how to use communication media to support translating and interpreting, and gain insight into the intersection of theory and practice.

You also have the option to undertake further study in interpreting for community health, medical fields, police and legal contexts, and conferences.

By linking translation technology, ethics, and professional and theoretical studies to practical issues in translating and interpreting, you’ll be prepared for whatever path your interpreting or translating career takes you.

This degree will provide you with the foundation research skills that will support your future career as a scientist or researcher.

The Master of Design may be undertaken in a project or thesis mode. This decision is made in consultation with your supervisor.

This advanced diploma provides you with the advanced technical and managerial skills needed for technicians and engineers working in aerospace manufacturing, design and maintenance at a paraprofessional level.

You’ll be equipped to work in small to large enterprises, as well as the defence forces.

Aircraft maintenance engineers work on aircraft engines, airframes, airframe systems, electrics, instruments, radio systems, and aircraft sheet metal work.

Specialist areas include:

• Aircraft design and layout
• Mechanical (fault diagnosis of airframe and engine systems)
• Structures (producing, maintaining and repairing sheet metal, bonded and non-metallic composite materials and components on aircraft).

The Associate Degree in Health Sciences provides an introduction to health sciences, exploring both the individual and public view of health in Australia. 

Always in-demand, the health sector is rapidly changing and expanding, with new employment opportunities driving the need for qualified and knowledgeable graduates.

In this associate degree, you'll develop a core understanding of human biology, health and nutrition.

Through the lens of the health industry, you will learn about psychology, project management, exercise, law and ethics, and more.
Your studies will cover the Australian healthcare system, and the major health issues currently facing the community. Once you have established the principles of health and health management, you will begin to explore chronic disease, evidence-based health practice, health promotion, and more. You will undertake industry projects to establish your professional practice and prepare you for a diverse career upon graduation.

This degree is designed to make you confident, skilled and adaptable in today’s creative industries - where writing and editing are essential skills, and so are creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

Along with leading genres like fiction, screen and digital writing, you’ll become an adaptable writer by learning the skills to adjust to a constantly changing industry, spending deep time with your creative work, trying experiments, and gaining new knowledge. A flair for creative expression will be complemented by proficiency in the business of writing, allowing you to understand the publishing process and learn the skills required to become a freelance writer, collaborator or creative entrepreneur, across multiple media platforms.

With a strong emphasis on industry connections, you will develop a large network of relationships throughout the degree, maximising your opportunities to gain employment upon graduation and building a potentially lifelong network of creative peers.

As a graduate of this degree, you can expect to work in a variety of roles, as writers, editors, publishers, screenwriters, screen producers, digital and mobile media creators, and producers of events like writers’ festivals.
