Finance
This major will enhance your analytical and problem-solving abilities and develop your understanding of the principles of finance.

In the Associate Degree in Business, you will study a range of business subjects including marketing, human resources, accountancy and management disciplines.

Blending the academic and the practical, you will explore and understand how the range of subjects work together holistically to enable the effective management of a contemporary business.

In this associate degree, you will be exposed to simulated and real-life business challenges, often working with partner companies on specific group projects. Past partners have included Devondale, Zagame Automotive Group, the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Tupperware, and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
Working individually and in groups, you will develop cooperative skills essential in the workplace. You will also be mentored by teachers with practical workplace experience in senior industry roles to complement your academic learning journey. In an increasingly urbanised world, shifting environmental priorities have placed sustainability in the spotlight.
A widening skills gap across industry means the demand for skilled professionals in energy efficient and sustainable building practices is on the rise.

In response to this industry demand, this degree will provide you with the essential skills and theory to design, develop and implement solutions for new and retrofitted buildings and sustainable built environment.

Your studies will prepare you to navigate the complex and rapidly changing environment of industry issues, trends, and economic and sustainability policies. You will get hands on experience in sustainability assessment tools and software used in the design and planning process.

You’ll have the opportunity to design creative solutions through inspiring and sustainable design-and-build projects, as well as taking part in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge - a humanitarian-focused course offered in all RMIT engineering degrees.

To ensure you graduate job-ready, you’ll also have an opportunity to undertake a work-integrated learning (industry experience) elective.

This degree combines the essential elements of environmental science with environmental engineering.

You will learn to understand interactions in the environment and how to design solutions to environmental problems.

In your final year you will choose your minor study in environmental biology, environmental chemistry or groundwater engineering.

By studying a marketing major you'll be prepared to take on roles in fields like digital marketing, brand management, campaign strategy, and customer analytics.

This degree builds on the knowledge and skills necessary for critical and creative approaches to international business by providing advanced study in contemporary international business theory and practice that is supported by ethical and sustainable business decision-making. It will also provide you with the capacity to address the international regulation of business and critically evaluate the impacts of decisions and practice through case studies and interactive and experiential learning activities.

In the Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging, you will have the opportunity to further develop your artistic practice and hone your creative skills. 

Designed to build practical and highly transferrable skills across a range of industry contexts, including commercial, advertising, documentary, editorial, institutional and fine art photography, this qualification will teach you to:

• Interpret photo imaging assignment briefs
• Consult with clients to refine objectives of photo imaging assignments
• Select the appropriate tools to capture images, including types of camera, image recording media, lighting, post-capture processing and outputs
• Work from a studio or in a range of locations
• Employ aesthetic, conceptual, compositional and technical skills to realise photo imaging outcomes, and 
• Utilise a range of traditional, contemporary and emergent technologies in the capture, preparation and distribution of images.

As a graduate of this diploma, you will have a sound theoretical and practical knowledge base, and the skills to use a range of specialised and technical skills to plan, execute and evaluate photography and photo imaging services.

Develop your advanced research skills and contribute to new developments in food sciences.
