This professionally accredited degree has been designed to provide graduates of non-accounting disciplines with a broad-based accounting and business qualification to broaden their career prospects.

The Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) is designed primarily for students from non-accounting backgrounds who want to develop an understanding of the technical and social dimensions in accounting and business. It is a broad-based qualification that combines core accounting studies with authentic learning experiences delivered through industry-informed work-integrating learning subjects and global study experiences.

Through this combination of accounting studies and electives designed to develop valuable professional and cross-cultural skills, this degree is suited to current workers who have progressed into a role that requires accounting knowledge, as well as people contemplating a career in accounting for the first time.

During your studies, you will build a strong understanding of intercultural, social and political issues and how to address them. You have the opportunity to select a specialisation stream, with three to choose from:

1. Development - Explore international systems and global processes, learn how to negotiate cross-culturally, and delve into strategic and ethical leadership.
2. Global Security - What are the international security challenges that leaders face, and how can communication, strategy and policy help manage this?
3. Languages - Develop communication skills that go beyond multilingualism, explore the nature and politics of language, and grow a stronger appreciation for cultures and communities.

RMIT's Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) focuses on the operational, managerial and planning aspects of airlines, airports, and associated industries.

You will gain a comprehensive appreciation of the aviation operating environment, and develop leadership, business, analytical and problem solving skills, enabling you to solve real problems in the aviation workplace. 

Developed with input from key stakeholders in the aviation industry, you will learn from aviation experts and benefit from RMIT's long standing relationships and extensive expertise in aviation education and research.

You will be able to tailor your aviation studies to suit your interests and career goals. Study airline and airport operations, aviation management, aircraft maintenance, human factors, aviation safety and security, and business analytics.

A capstone experience will provide you with hands-on, industry experience so you will graduate job-ready. The aviation industry project will provides you with the opportunity to apply your industry knowledge and undertake a project focusing on a real-world aviation industry problem or issue.

With a focus on all aspects of screen and media production — not just standing behind the camera — one of the key features of this diploma is that in each semester you will write, produce, direct and edit screen content. This will help you to develop a strong skill set on work or further study upon graduation.

The Diploma of Screen and Media (Content Creation) provides you with skills-based training in a practical, hands-on environment. You will start your journey in the diploma and, upon successful completion, continue into the advanced diploma. 

You will develop skills and knowledge in key areas such as concept development, storytelling and all aspects of production. You will learn the importance of industry knowledge, collaboration, team building and professionalism.

On completion of the first year, you will transition to the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Directing), which gives you the broad base necessary to move ahead in the screen, media, TV and film production industries. 

Graduates from this diploma will have the skills necessary to work in a variety of screen and media-based roles, ranging from cinematographers to scriptwriters.

With the Master of Public Policy you will learn how you can contribute to positive policy outcomes, and participate in debates regarding power, politics, and complexity.

Taught by leading policy academics and industry professionals, the course reflects the latest debates, issues, and approaches to global, national, and local policy making and development.
You'll explore and develop frameworks for issues, such as:

Graduates work as policymakers, advocates, and managers in human service, government, and non-government organisations, and, increasingly, in the private and corporate sectors.

Explore the core disciplines of digital media and its place in society.

With a clear focus on design, the Bachelor of Design (Digital Media) offers you the opportunity to explore diverse aspects of media, and gain a strong digital media literacy.

Combining theory with practical industry-based knowledge, you will develop a digital media design specialisation in interactive media, digital video, digital sound, or digital environments.
You'll explore fields including:

• Web and app design
• Visual effects, compositioning, and motion graphics
• Interactive mobile media design
• Sound design
• Virtual and augmented reality
• Projection and digital installations.

You will gain a solid grounding in contemporary digital media design theory and practice, and will explore how digital content can be planned, produced, applied and integrated.

Develop superior research skills and critically examine global culture, government, economics and education.

As a student in the Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) (Honours), you will critically reflect leaders in government, business, international aid, development and education. You will design, research and complete a scholarly thesis and undertake advanced course work that provides a firmer grounding in the field and in broader research methods.

Building on the capabilities you acquired at undergraduate degree level, this degree will enhance your sense of professional identity and widen your learning horizons through exposure to research practice.

Many of our graduates continue on to develop an academic research career though further Master and PhD studies. You’ll engage with the academic world of global studies by joining a network of talented students, who develop fresh insights into international issues through deeper analysis.

Building on the capabilities you acquired at undergraduate degree level, you’ll design and develop a research project and complete a scholarly thesis as you undertake advanced coursework, which provides a firmer grounding in the field and in research methods.

You will:

RMIT's Bachelor of Data Science will develop skills in data analytics, statistics, computer science, machine learning, programming, mathematics, and data wrangling that will enable you to be central to business decision-making, corporate strategy and government planning. 

You will gain strong problem-solving skills, and learn how to effectively communicate your work to technical and non-technical audiences, work independently or as a team, and factor in relevant standards, ethical and legal considerations to your projects.

Using cutting-edge technologies, you will learn how to analyse and manage large amounts of data from various sources and evaluate their insights and solutions. You will gain hands-on experience using Python and R programming languages.
