This degree builds on the knowledge and skills necessary for critical and creative approaches to international business by providing advanced study in contemporary international business theory and practice that is supported by ethical and sustainable business decision-making. It will also provide you with the capacity to address the international regulation of business and critically evaluate the impacts of decisions and practice through case studies and interactive and experiential learning activities.

At RMIT we contend that research is conducted through designing and that the process of designing, as a means of increasing knowledge, parallels research in other areas in fascinating ways.

Research candidates are supported and engaged in communities of design practice where learning is fundamentally a social phenomenon; where knowledge is integrated in the life of these communities that share interests, discourses and ways of doing things.

The Master of Design may be undertaken in a project or thesis mode. This decision is made in consultation with your supervisor.

On completion of this program you will have:

This research degree develops advanced research principles, methods and mastery of a body of knowledge in the social sciences by completing a thesis or research project.

Sustainable systems engineering brings together the new technologies and innovative engineering approaches needed for sustainable global development.

In RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Sustainable Systems Engineering) (Honours), you'll learn how to protect, restore and create engineered and natural systems that are socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable.

As part of this systems engineering degree you’ll undertake a broad range of studies, graduating with the skills to design engineering solutions that meet the needs of society within economic and ecological constraints.

Your studies will focus on developing a sustainable systems approach, combining the fundamentals of sustainable systems design, engineering design, engineering mathematics and engineering science. Degree specialisations exist in renewable energy systems, energy efficiency and demand management, transport and logistics, and supply chain analytics.

Biomedical science courses allow you to understand how the human body functions, and the responses of the body to various diseases, exercise, diet, internal disturbances, and environmental influences.

You’ll learn how techniques in molecular biology and genetics are applied to diagnosing genes that cause cancer, making crops and livestock less vulnerable to disease, and making food safer.

You’ll complete studies in cell biology, physiology, microbiology and molecular biology. You can also choose to study anatomy, neuroscience, cardiovascular biology, industrial microbiology, proteomics, pharmaceutical sciences and applied biochemistry.

Combining studies in urban planning and built environment with the social, economic, and political environment, the Master of Urban Planning and Environment equips you to shape efficient, practical, healthy, and sustainable cities.

Develop skills in critical analysis and draw from diverse sources to engage in professionally-relevant projects, conduct research, and promote effective policy outcomes. Benefit from practical and experiential learning, working on urban planning problems in the field, and consulting with industry.

This degree is offered online and face-to face. It is primarily taught through evening classes during the week, with some topics delivered through intensive full-day workshops. All core topics and some electives are also offered online in case students aren’t able to study face-to-face.
