What are the international security challenges that leaders face, and how can communication, strategy and policy help manage this?

You'll also address the challenges of doing business internationally by applying critical common sense to corporate and societal issues, act responsibly, and recognise the impact of international business in a global environment.

This degree builds on the knowledge and skills necessary for critical and creative approaches to international business by providing advanced study in contemporary international business theory and practice that is supported by ethical and sustainable business decision-making. It will also provide you with the capacity to address the international regulation of business and critically evaluate the impacts of decisions and practice through case studies and interactive and experiential learning activities.

With advanced technical expertise and research skills, graduates of the Master of Food Science and Technology are fully-equipped to participate in the rapidly advancing field of food science and technology and apply their expertise in inter-disciplinary contexts.

You’ll develop skills and knowledge of food processing and preservation; chemical properties of food materials; food safety, packaging and labelling; and food product and process innovation. You will also undertake subjects to support the wide range of technical positions required by the food industry.
If your background is in science, engineering, agriculture or other related disciplines, the Master of Food Science and Technology is designed to provide professional training in this field. If you have previously completed studies in food science and technology, this degree will enhance and expand your knowledge in the area.

In RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics) (Honours) degree, you’ll learn about mechatronics, robotics, advanced materials, automated systems and the simulation and modelling of manufacturing processes.

RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) (Honours) offers you the chance to specialise in engineering fields critical to solving the world’s environmental challenges. Land contamination and rehabilitation, energy, hydrogeology, wastewater treatment, and sustainable cities are strong focus areas.

During your environmental studies, you’ll learn engineering concepts and technical skills to:

• Preserve the environment
• Minimise water, soil and air pollution
• Assess the environmental impact of engineering projects
• Develop remediation measures for environmental degradation
• Deliver sustainable solutions through engineering processes.

Elective subjects such as the Humanitarian Experiential Learning Project will provide you with the opportunity to gain a global perspective of the world’s environmental challenges and the role environmental engineers can play in solving them.

Graduate from this degree with the skills and knowledge to conserve water resources, supply safe drinking water in challenging contexts, undertake rehabilitation of contaminated land and groundwater, design systems to sustainably manage wastes and reduce the environmental footprint in urban and rural communities and prepare environmental impact studies for major infrastructure projects.

In the Associate Degree in Business, you will study a range of business subjects including marketing, human resources, accountancy and management disciplines.

Blending the academic and the practical, you will explore and understand how the range of subjects work together holistically to enable the effective management of a contemporary business.

In this associate degree, you will be exposed to simulated and real-life business challenges, often working with partner companies on specific group projects. Past partners have included Devondale, Zagame Automotive Group, the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Tupperware, and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
Working individually and in groups, you will develop cooperative skills essential in the workplace. You will also be mentored by teachers with practical workplace experience in senior industry roles to complement your academic learning journey. Your expansive studies in this qualification will allow you to pursue more specialised further study.

Gain the skills you need to become a technician in laboratories in hospitals, research institutes, pharmaceutical companies, private pathology and testing laboratories.

In the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, you will be taught to apply your knowledge of living systems to solving important practical issues including controlling disease and making the environment safer.
Using the latest industry-standard equipment, you’ll build the knowledge and skills required to work under supervision to:

• Examine micro-organisms or changes in cells and tissues
• Perform analysis of pathology, environmental and chemical samples
• Assist with research into biochemical or genetic processes.

You will also benefit from the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Upon completion of this certificate, you may go on to work in vaccine production, food and materials testing, pathology, or research. Alternatively, you might prefer to pursue the Diploma of Laboratory Technology, or other further study of your choice.
