The Master of Landscape Architecture is about envisioning, investigating, and proposing better ways of living in a complex and changing world.

The Master of Landscape Architecture course is accredited by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. The course is recognised as a world-class facility in fostering design knowledge, critical thinking, and design advocacy through innovative teaching and research.
RMIT’s Master of Landscape Architecture will equip you to become a leader and innovator in landscape architectural practice.

You’ll learn through design studios, which operate as laboratories conducive to experimentation, investigation, and the exploration of design as an agent that responds to issues in the built environment. Studios are led by distinguished local and international academic practitioners drawing from a diverse field of knowledge and experience.

The Graduate Diploma in Journalism is designed to enhance your undergraduate qualification with focused study in journalism. This one-year diploma sets you up for a career as a journalist by allowing you to explore all forms of contemporary journalism and put modern practice into its legal, ethical and social context. 

As part of the curriculum, you will present and produce live radio news for community radio station RRR and our live-to-air television news program, Newsline, as well as create text and data reports for our publication The City Journal.

You will work individually with our work placement coordinator to find at least one internship as part of your study.

Upon completing this diploma, you will have developed the skills and knowledge necessary for an entry-level position in journalism and in doing so follow in the footsteps of many of Australia’s award-winning journalists.

This degree will provide you with the foundation research skills that will support your future career as a scientist or researcher.

In consultation with your discipline honours coordinator and your supervisor, you'll be allocated a project to develop your skills to an advanced level.

A recent McKinsey report forecast that Al will generate $13 trillion in economic activity by 2030. It’s the ideal time to gain expertise in this burgeoning and complex field.

In the Master of Artificial Intelligence, you’ll learn to design and implement systems and applications in high-tech facilities, such as our newly developed Artificial Intelligence Lab.

The Master of Artificial Intelligence offers two stream options. In the project stream, you complete an AI postgraduate project and choose two electives from both AI and IT. In the research stream, you complete a research methods module, write a minor thesis, and select two electives.

We have been rated above world standard for our research in the field of AI and Image Processing. This course is among the most specialised in the country, with few other degrees focused on AI theory and applications in today’s climate. Curious and motivated students will develop advanced knowledge, placing them ahead of the pack for practical careers or research in AI.

Studying chemical engineering at RMIT brings together engineering science with engineering design and practice.

RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) (Honours) will equip you with the skills and knowlege to design sustainable processes and products for the benefit of society, environment, and businesses.

In this chemical enginering degree, you’ll cover the application of chemical sciences, physics, and biological sciences and technology, to design and improve industrial processes such as water purification, food production and processing, or develop products such as cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.

You’ll learn how to make processing industries work more efficiently and minimise their environmental impact by using less energy and producing less waste. You’ll also develop the skills to design and develop ways in which raw materials, such as minerals and oil, are converted into useful products including composites, petrol, plastics and paper.

This industry-relevant degree offers work integrated learning opportunities. You’ll have the opportunity to design creative solutions through inspiring and sustainable design-and-build projects, as well as taking part in the Engineers Without Borders Challenge - a humanitarian-focused subject offered in all RMIT engineering degrees.

You'll graduate with an internationally recognised qualification, with the degree accredited by Engineers Australia and the Institution of Chemcial Engineers. 

The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Content Creation and Design) is delivered as part of a sequence, beginning with the Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation, Gaming and Visual Effects).

Upon satisfactory completion of the diploma you will be eligible to progress to the advanced diploma.

This advanced diploma gives you the broad base necessary to move ahead in the art, design, screen and media industries. The unique and comprehensive Bachelor of Environmental Science/Bachelor of Environment and Society combines science and social science knowledge, designed to give you all the competencies required to succeed in environmental governance positions, or to become a sustainability leader, and help protect our natural environment.

Through the combination of work in the classroom, the laboratory and the field, you will build an understanding of both scientific and social theory.
